chapter one

the party was at mikes house, talking. will and cassie wanted to play d&d, and were begging all of them. "can we play d&d now mike, pleaseee?" will said. "yeah, mike, pleaseeee!" cassie said. will and cassie were looking at eachother, and looking away quickly, so no one else would see. mike rolled his eyes. "no." mike said. mike was in a bad mood, because el and him got into a fight again. eleven came to mike's house cause max begged her. eleven and max were upstairs, in the living room with nancy, jonathan, steve, and robin. "cassie," mike said. cassie looked at mike. "yes?" she asked. "you're a girl, right?" mike asked. "yes." cassie replied curiously." everyone exchanged glances, and mouthed words to eachother. "well, what do girls like?" mike asked. "i don't know." cassie shrugged. "how do i explain that?" "well," mike began, before getting cut off. "cassie!" max whisper-shouted from the stairs. she did a "come here" motion with her hand. "come on, let's go have some real fun. starcourt reopened, you know." max said with el beside her. "yeah." el said. everyone looked at eachother, they didn't believe that they would just leave. "okay." cassie said softly. they walked out the door, cassie very confused. they rode their bikes to starcourt. they parked their bikes outside of the mall. they went inside and looked around, starcourt looked... new. they walked to the gap, and cassie looked around. she hadn't remembered shopping, (since she lost her memory.) so she looked around everywhere. "you don't remember shopping, do you?" max asked cassie. cassie shook her head no. max gave cassie 50 dollars to spend. cassie found 2 outfits she bought.

cassie tried them both on, and decided to wear the 1st outfit. el and max got sunglasses, and new shoes since they bought a lot of outfits last time they came to the mall. they all paid for their stuff and got out of the mall. they got on the bus and waited for their stop. they got off the bus at their stop, and went to elevens house. they knocked on the door. "who is it?" hopper shouted. "it's el!" eleven shouted back. hopper answered the door. "can max and cassie stay for a sleepover?" el begged. "fine." hopper said. "but don't blast the radio too loud!" hopper said. "okay." eleven said. they went into el's room and started playing music. eleven played music on the radio all the time, so she can't promise that radio rule. the radio played "manic monday" by the bangles. max was singing along and dancing into a hairbrush she grabbed off of els desk. eleven started singing along aswell. cassie was bopping her head to the music. max pushed cassie gently. "come on! sing with us!" max said. "i don't know what the song says." cassie said. max laughed "atleast dance!" max said. cassie got up and danced with them. they all burst out laughing and fell onto the ground. "that was hilarious!" max said.
