Going Once, Twice, Sold!

I'm tired of losing people. I'm tired of acting like the hero, when in reality I am just paying for my past sins.

That's why I came here, The Planet of the Lost. It's where people go when their planet is lost, or they themselves are lost. And I have never felt more lost.

I walked through the rest of the people, leaving the Tardis locked behind me.

"200 Credits! Do I have 200 Credits for the Creati?"

Creati? But, that's a person?

I made my way to the shouting, "500 credits. Going Once, twice, sold to the Rivveter."

The person in front of me snarled happily as the Creati got shoved in its direction.

I just stood, shell shocked and horrified as they brought out the next victim.

"Next up, one of the last Stranac born in captivity." She came out snarling, she was scared and lashing out, "Still needs a bit of training." He laughed as he held a remote that left her twitching.

"Starting the bid at 200 credits."

A paddle went up.

"Can I get 250?"

Another paddle.

"How about I make a unique offer?" I shout over the crowd.

"Like what newcomer?"

"5 seconds to pack up and leave before I get even more angry."

His eyes widen in fake fear before he burst out laughing, "The Skinny One thinks he intimidates me."

The crowd joins in laughing.

"5"

"300 credits?"

"3"

Paddle up

"2"

"400?"

"1." The Stranac broke her chains and charged at the auctioneer as I soniced the cages around her. The slaves attacked and ran wild.

The Planet of The Lost had no police to stop the riot.

I ran over to the Stranac, "Come with me, I'll keep you safe."

She scoffed, "I have lived my whole life shielded, try again."

I smiled, "I'll show you other, kinder worlds."

She smiled back, "That's more like it."

I felt my smile grow, "Allons-y!"

She ran behind me and I heard her laugh at the chaos. If she thinks this is fun, wait until we actually start.

"So, what's your name?" I seamlessly unlock the Tardis Door and invite her in.

"I was born in captivity. I was assigned no name."

"Well then, that means you get to pick your own. My people used to have a tradition like that... But, it's not really active anymore." I stood in silence at the console. I turned to her and saw a look of awe.

"Time Lord?"

"Heard of us?"

She nodded, "My mother told me stories of the last two. Said one was our savior, as he had ended the time war before it came to us. And one was lost. Have you found him?"

I hadn't heard this before. I hadn't felt a second Time Lord, "Still lost... So, what should I call you?"

"What are you called?"

"I am the Doctor."

She pondered. Almost as if she was remembering something before she answered, "Thema."

"Brilliant. Thema, close to my academy title." I smiled as I noticed that she had smiled at me.

I flipped a switch and watched her eyes light up, "Where are we going?"

"Set it on random. Ended up well last time."

"What happened last time?"

"Met you."

Thema laughed before looking around at the Tardis, "Why does it say Po-lice Box? I thought it was supposed to blend in."

"Police." We can work on reading, "and it is, but the chameleon circuit broke and it's stuck."

She nodded, "Can you fix it?"

I shook my head, "Don't have the parts."

I look at the screen when we landed, for the first time in a while, "Can you disguise yourself?"

She tilted her head.

"We are on Earth, before aliens are better known for being good."

Her head stayed tilted, "Earth? That's where humans started right?"

I nodded. She then smiled, "I can change." She walked out of the console room and just into the hallway when I heard popping and cracking.

She came back out and looked absolutely adorable. "I chose this form so that people would find it understandable if I said something wrong and as to why I was with you."

She looked like a young female version of me, well this me. Around 10 years old.

"Come on, let's introduce you to earth."

She smiled and took my hand as we walked out.

This was gonna be interesting.

What do y'all think? Me starting another DW FanFic? Y'all excited...

On a more serious note, their is a reason I chose this background story for Thema, human trafficking has been getting worse and worse lately, over 40 million people get kidnapped and added to the missing persons list every year. And with Halloween coming up, statistically it is more probable for someone to get kidnapped.

If you see something, say something. And stay safe in the real world readers.
