The day they stood up there on the altar was the happiest day of her life.

The moment he told her he would love her always was the happiest she'd ever been.

So, all she could do as she listened to her husband talk the night away with some other woman that wasn't her, she could only wonder,

What happened?

What happened to "I'll always be here"?

What happened to "I'll never leave you"?

What happened to "I love you"?

And as these feelings built up inside her, one day they burst, overflowing and drowning her in pain and anguish, she couldn't take it anymore.

She stormed upstairs, down the hall to his room, where she could distinctly hear two voices.

The door slammed open, courtesy of her.

Her husband and the other woman froze.

Gingerly, she pried her wedding ring off her finger and tossed it onto the bed next to him.

"Buy yourself something nice. Because you sure as hell can return this damned ring."
