How can one be happy with oneself but have many flaws?

"Ok palidins this is were my father's GPS led us." In front of the team stood an erie cave, Lance looked around and honestly, it was super shady and was hella dark. The palidins and Allura all had altean flashlights, they were in a spooky forest, the sound of nocturnal animals was all you could hear. "A-are you sure this is the place? It's p-pretty spooky, I'm getting the chills." Hunk shivered as he asked.

"Don't worry my GPS is always right so there's no need to worry."said the green palidin in a know it all voice.

"Just be carefull something could be living here."said shiro while he and Allura were entering the cave. Pidge turned around.

"Come on you don't want to get lost in there do you?" pidge said smirking knowing that lance and hunk were scared if the dark. Both lance and hunk shivered then ran to catch up with pidge. While Kieth was at the back of the group to make sure nothing sneaks up on them from behind. The team was soon swallowed by the darkness of the cave.

Pigde was explaining how the GPS worked."and when you get closer it beeps faster, then when you are at your destination it will be a steady tone."
*Beep*
*Beep*
*Beep*
*Beeeeee*

"Well looks like we're here." Said lance sarcastically since they were standing In front of a dead end.

"Lance I really don't need your stupid comments right now!" Shouted Allura. She took a deep breath and sighed she then pinced the bridge of her nose.
"Pidge this is the right spot right?"
"Yeah princess this is, most definitely the spot."
"Well maybe there is a hidden door some were?" Said lance as he looked up and down the wall in front of them.

"What did I tell you about-" shiro cut Allura off. "That's actually a good idea, great thinking lance. Everyone start feeling around the wall and see if you can press anything." Lance was blushing from the praise he had just gotten. But Allura seemed like she was going to explode but as to seeing as lance was sort of being useful she calmed down.

"Man this is going to take forever look how big this wall is!!" Said hunk. "Wow I didn't know that Donald Trump lived in space." Said lance earning a giggle from pidge and groans from Kieth and Allura."come on gang it won't be that hard."said shiro trying to lift the mood.
"And apparently we are also from Scooby-Doo. I call velma!" Yelled lance this time Kieth also laughed along.

" Lance stop joking around and get to work!!!" Yelled Allura." S-sorry lallura I-i mean Allura"stuttered lance. Allura seemed taken aback since she remembered some one very close to her used to call her that nickname.
"D-don't say sorry just get to work!"
With that being said everyone started to feel along the wall, allura was desperately searching for anything, While everyone was searching, well everyone except lance.

Lance looked like he was on cloud nine with his eyes glazed over with mist. He reached his hand out to touch the wall and when his hand made contact the wall lit up the entire cave.

The cave was instantly flooded with light, and It seamed like the palidins were drowning in it. Huge stone doors with tons of white and blue swirl markings opened in front of lance. Allura seemed dazed for a few seconds then was angry at all the attention lance was getting.

The doors had opened all the way and what she saw just fed her anger even more. The others were star struck at the marvelous sight in front of them.
