It had been 12 hours since Lucifer had showed up. 12 hours he waited and contemplated the pros and cons of letting the devil out of his cage.
The pros being:
Sam would no longer have Hallucinations.
He wouldn't have to remember his experiences in Hell, and he would be completely normal again.
The cons being:
He would be starting apocalypse #2
He would be re-releasing Lucifer from Hell.
And he would have to pay an un-for seen price whatever that entailed.
But if the end justify the means. He would no longer have to have hallucinations. He could finally get a good nights sleep. He wouldn't have to worry about what Dean would think of him.
He held the horse men's rings in his palm. Tracing the trinity of rings from one ring to the other. After a lot of minutes of thinking, and giving Dean excuses as to where he was. Sam threw the rings as they landed in the center of the wall, where Sam had randomly picked.
He was at an old abandoned farmhouse in the country. No civilization for miles.
Suddenly there was a force that pulled the wall inside what looked like a black hole. But as soon as it appeared it vanished and there standing in place of the black hole was the only angel, that could help him.
Lucifer.
