it's been 2 years since we filmed wgm, i've never been able to shake the feeling of this loneliness. i mean ive tried my hardest to find the happiness i was missing, but i just couldn't. i walked out of my dorm to see chaewon and nari dancing to fancy, "you girls are so cute!" harin gushed over them as i laughed.

"there's that laugh we miss!" nari smirked as i just rolled my eyes playfully.

"are you ready for our next comeback? we finally are getting one!" jaehwa excitedly squealed, "its a more somewhat delicate song"

"stay is my favourite song we're putting out." jiah shrugged. (a/n i miss blackpink!!) "it's really chill and all." she smiled

"i agree, it makes me feel all warm inside." chaewon giggled as i smiled.

"you're right!" nari pointed her index finger at her, "i can't wait to play it live!" she winked. i grabbed some juice from the fridge as jiah was sat on the counter

"why is she always watching that damn tv show?" i questioned slouching down on the couch

"remember that episode of wgm when sam and mark watched dots? she probably misses mark so much." jaehwa said giving a sympathetic look

"you're probably right, but what can we do?" jiah asked sadly. we all miss the nct boys.

"i know!" chaewon smirked, "we should challenge her. she's a singer right?" she questioned as we nodded, "we all know she can rap, we should make her rap on our new song. lion." she softly said so sam wouldn't hear

"you think she would?" i asked

"does she have a choice?" jaehwa questioned as i shrugged

"it'd make her think of something else for a while!" chaewon sighed

"you're right. okay, it's set. sam is rapping next song!" i said dismissing this conversation.

we entered the recording studio, sam came in with her gloomy atmosphere again as she slumped onto the couch. jaehwa nodded at me as i cleared my throat to get everyone's attention. "okay, we're not gonna use stay as our title track." i said, sam's head snapping up

"what?" everyone acted surprised as it was apart of the plan

"uh, why? everyone loved it." sam voiced

"we're gonna use lion." i said handing out the sheet of lion. "we're just gonna make a few changes. chaewon, you're singing, and sam, you're rapping chaewon's part." i said as sam's eyes popped out of her head

"excuse me? have you forgotten im a singer? i don't know how to rap!" she protested getting out of her seat to pace around. this is the most emotion we seen her have in months.

"don't lie to us!" chaewon giggled, "i will help you, now go into that recording studio so we could get started." chaewon ordered her as she sighed and went in.

"ready?" our producer asked sam who was getting ready.

"as ready as i'll ever be." she sighed.

it was a two months after the recording process and sam became so invested into the song, that's all she's been able to think about. they were working on the choreography for about two weeks now, and everything was almost perfect to release. "3 weeks until our release!" sam happily walked into the practice room everyone was in. she felt more like herself as she invested herself into her music. she still hit a few bumps along the way with rapping but who doesn't ?
