Drip. Drip. Drip.
I stood there water rolling over my body. Shivering. Cold.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
How did I get here? What did I do to deserve this? I stood under the pale grey sky, rain drops pouring over my body. I could feel the impact of each individual one, it's chilled surface gripping onto my exposed skin, sliding down my arms leaving only a glossy trail before it dangled from my my finger tips,and merged with the puddle below me like a firework in the sky. My eyes stung, I could barely see my vision blurry with the salt from my tears. I slowly lifted what used to be my soft but were now bruised hands, rubbing my eyes with my knuckles in an attempt to clear my vision.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
I shivered once again, feeling my cold clothes cling to my body like it was it's life line. The water soaked material emphasizing every groove of my short small figure, there I stood. Under the emotionless grey sky, alone. Thunder growled as I tried to collect my thoughts retracing all my memories like a map, pushing my exhaustion, hunger and fear all to the side. I needed to know.
"How did I get here...?" I mumbled softly before I felt my knees cripple, and I stumbled into the water soaked Earth below me.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Then I remembered.
