People have always liked him, he's never met someone who doesn't, granted it was because of his quirk but none the less.
One day he wants to have 100 true friends who like him for him, first he has to find someone who dislikes him.
But now officially a middle school student he's met someone who hates him.
Someone by the name of katsuki bakugou, he hates Izukus guts but that won't stop him from becoming his friend, after all he wants to have 100 true friends before high school.
( they aren't childhood friends so they've never met )
