basic overlook : in which a talented,
newly recruited detective, Ivory, whom is
tasked with solving her first case: the
cold-blooded murder of a local teenager at
Briarwoods' biggest football game (homecoming) of the season.
Despite the efficient amount of evidence
at the crime scene, with the exception
of a small pocket knife, Ivory is determined
to find the murderer of Sappire Dai. But,
upon inspection, Ivory finds that there
are more suspects for Sapphire's murder
than what she originally thought—
each one with a driven motive that. And when finding a threatening note that warns
her to leave the case cold, the woman knows
that she must find the killer and put them behind bars before they come for
her too.

each character's motive:

anica [the best friend] : as reported by many
students at school, Anica and Sapphire
had gotten into a fight a few days before her
death, and the two (which were usually
inseparable) had gone their separate ways.

liberty [the cheerleader] : Sapphire and
Liberty had clashed on several occasions,
and had an ongoing feud due to an
unfortunate occurrence between the two of them a few years prior.

blythe [the golden boy| football player ] :
had dated Sapphire for years, until she
heard he was cheating (with liberty) and
ended the relationship without hearing his side of the story.

kennedy [the neighbor] : grew up with
Sapphire; but upon admitting his feelings
for her, was left in a state of dullness when
she didn't return the feelings.

antonio [the all-star| soccer player ] :
found entertainment in harassing Sapphire
while at schools and at after-school
football games. He had also asked Sapphire
to homecoming and was rejected.

characteristics of Ivory : she's very
determined, of course! She has a
fueling desire to bring justice to her
hometown and to bring closure to the
families of the departed by bringing
criminals into custody.

who seemingly wants her dead, too.

fun fact : this book had a first
chapter in my drafts!! It's so unfortunate
that I didn't have enough time to write it :(
