"We're here."
He says
"Thanks, I'll see you at school Monday?"
I say with a smile
"Yeah."
He says
There's a bit of awkward silence
I get out of the car
He gets out also
"You don't have to walk me up if you don't want to."
I say confusion
"No, no it's okay."
He laced his fingers into mine
I feel heat rush to my face
I pull my keys out of my pocket and unlock it
"I-"
I say shocked to see Madison talking to my mom
"Benji come in and sit."
My mom says
"Bye Jorge."
I say
The smaller boy winks and begins the walk to his house
I close the door and take a seat
Madison's eyes are puffy
"Madison what's wrong?"
I say with a fake concerned tone
"You know what is wrong."
She says with anger in her voice
"Benji,"
My mom paused
"What happened at the party last night?"
My mom says
"Nothing!"
I says with attitude I didn't mean
"Really?"
Madison says
"Nothing happened mom."
I say
"Benji, don't lie to me."
My mom says
I'm shocked
"Ma-Madison what did you say?"
I say with a deep breath
"The truth!"
She says
"Okay, so if we are saying the truth... what is that on your neck?"
I point to her hickeys
"That's none of your business!"
She says
"Then what I did last night was none of yours!"
I say
I stormed up the stairs and shut my door
I hear my mom yell for me
"Benji! Get down here."
I ignore her and lay on my bed
I pull out my phone
I text Jorge

He texts back after a second

Jorge💖🤪: WHAT
Benji: yeah and she was crying and talking to my mom

I put my phone down and look at the posters on my wall
