Betrayal and Forgiveness (One Shot)

The Story

     There is a lady named,  Akisha Reanne Yuzon she is a famous chemist who is working with the company Your Scent Maker, a huge perfume making company in the whole Paris. She is also known as Ary, as her screen name.She is a pure Filipino but raised in Paris by her parents. She studied there and graduated with degree. Now, she is already successful for she is known to be the famous chemist in Paris. She also have company with her, Charden Forrestier, her bestfriend and her leaning shoulders.Charden also have feelings for the the lady and he is actually courting her. However, Ary is too busy focusing on her career hindering her romantic relationship with Charden. Also, her another bestfriend Althea Rose Ynares also known as Ary_2 as her screen name for she is the one who is next to Ary's fame. But her traits are very far from Ary's.Althea is bossy while Ary is humble. Althea is short-tempered while Ary is patient. In short, even they're bestfriends they have many differences as a person. The three are bestfriends since highschool.
      Ary is formulating her latest perfume scent.It took her several months to finish it. On the other hand, as she is heading her way to the CEO's office with Althea. Ary asked, "Althea do you think that my formula is enough? Or does it lack with something?"says Ary. After taking a glimpse she said, "I think of none Ary. For me, that is your greatest work so far." says Althea but Ary doesn't seem confirmed. Then they have reach the office and knocked to the ceo's office. " Goodafternoon,sir. May I come in?"says Ary. "Well yes you may."  says the CEO whose name is Marcus Loisel. He is Ary's ultimate crush but she choose not to tell him. So back to the story, "Well I have here my new formula and I am asking for your review." says Ary to Mr. Loisel."Ok then, please wait for our review. I think it will be done by next week"says Mr. Loisel. And then, they lead their way to the exit.
      Then as expected, Ary's formula has been approved and the production of it started. Then suddenly, a big problem came. " Mademoisel  do you already know the news" one staff ask. "Yes, that's why I am heading to the factory now."  The problem is that , the machine malfunctioned with no specific reason. But although a big problem occur, the production still goes on until the product reach the market. They thought that the problem is solved but the real problem is yet to come.
       One day Ary recieved a letter from an anonymous sender. It says there that:
ARY YOU'RE CAREER IS GOING DOWN. YOUR FAME FOR YEARS IS ENOUGH AND LET'S GIVE CHANCE TO OTHERS. OTHERS THAT ALSO WANT ATTENTION AND FAME. YOUR REAL STRUGGLE IS YET TO COME SO BETTER BE READY.

       Days have passed, perfume's consumers started to complain about the unexplained rashes grew on their skin. The controversy spreads and the company's name is being damaged. So they decided to cut off the production and give Ary a break. And because of that huge issue, Ary cannot handle her problems anymore. She began to get depress. Her problem is added by Charden and Althea for they are gone for the days that she needs them. She starts to lose everything. Then she took a gaze on her perfume, the last one she have, then suddenly she begin to reminisce about her being successful to her job. Her being the most famous chemist in the whole town. Her being looked up by others. Right then she realized that she should not let anybody or anything ruin all her hardwork for the past few years. Right then again, she made her own investigation. She first, test a sample from the perfume and she found out that a harmful substance is being mixed on her formula. She quickly contacted Althea and Charden for them to hear the fact that she found out.
         After that, the three  decided to go and approach Mr.Marcus Loisel,the CEO, to inform them about the misconception that happened. Good thing, Mr.Loisel accepts her explaination and he says that they will come up with their own investigation to have a strong evidence. After going to Mr.Loisel's office they lead to a coffee shop to have a break. As they sip their coffee, Charden sees a man holding a book entitled Detective Files. He turns around then pionts out the book to Ary and Althea. "Do you two remember that book?" says Charden." O, yes of course I remember that!" says Ary with excitement. "That is Althea's favorite book for she loves the male protagonist as well as the codes written there. And if I am not mistaken the ROT1 ciphering method is her favorite. Ah I miss our highschool days"says Charden consecutively."Remember what Althea did to her oponent before on a contest?"Ary asked. "Ah, right she mixed something on her cologne that gave her rashes! Hahaha now I remember."says Charden laughing out loud. Althea becomes uneasy resulting Ary to be confused by her actions.
      On her home, Ary's still not comfortable because she has this feeling that Althea has something to do with the controversy. Then she sew the clues in her mind. First a substance is being mixed on a cologne resulting rashes. Then her observations for her friend. She already know that Althea has hidden envy for her. Then she remembered the letter. She found there the name of the culprit. BMUIFB. She tried to decipher it with the method ROT1 for she have this feeling that this is the answer for all of her question.

Then she come up with the name ALTHEA. The method works, all she did was she just got the previous letter for each given letter. For example, B is given then you will get A as the answer for A is the previous letter of B.
      After getting the answer, Ary come to confront Althea in a nice way. At first Althea is not telling something and just let Ary to do all the talking. But then, Althea eventually apologize as she tell the truth to Ary. At first, Ary is mad but because of their friendship Ary still forgive her altough she's the reason for all of her sufferings. On the other hand, the company has finished the test and conclude that there was really something being  mixed on the formula.
      After that happening, Ary's career is slowly going back to normal. She has her job back but people's trust is the one she should gain again. Anyway the company says that they will help Ary rebuild her career. On the other hand, Ary, Charden and Althea's friendship becomes stronger after Althea's wrong doings.
         Ary now successfully rebuild her career as well as her life and she now have a peaceful, pleasant life.
