I open my pale grey, sleek wings and jump off the ledge. I soared over the waterfall, my black hair flowing behind me. My dull yellow eyes search below me, looking for only the Heavens knows what. I sweep over the woods, breathing in heavily. The air still was wet from the rain the previous night. The dew sticks to the grass and the air like a spider sticks to its web.

My wings take me higher up until I'm over the tree line of the quiet forest. To the people who still live, this forest does not exist. The Woods of Rain only exist to angels and demons. As the name says, it rains a lot there. Mainly at night though. We who do not breathe exist in a parallel dimension to the one where people who live, but we can travel to their dimension.

The wind and rain cling to me as I soar back to The Place of Acceptance. It is where the Guardian Angels, like myself, gather and live. The job of a Guardian Angel is to protect victims. Victims are people who want to commit suicide. There are two ways to become a Guardian Angel; you have to volunteer to be one, or you have to have killed yourself.

I did the latter of those two. I was a werewolf who wasn't accepted by my pack. They cast me out and even bared their teeth at me. I grew more and more depressed as time came and went. I ended up hanging myself with a vine in the woods where I had once lived. Now, I exist here, in the Heavens.

I land as I neared the Place of Acceptance. Unlike most Guardian Angels, my eyes are hard and my face grim. Most Angels has soft, almost liquid like eyes and wore bright smiles, even though most of the Guardians committed suicide in their past. I scowl as two angels approach me. These two have been trying to convince me that existing as a Guardian Angel was good and that I would become helpful.

"Hey Andy! Our lecture is starting in approximately ten minutes! Please speed up!" The girl with short, black hair and golden wings shouts at me. I roll my eyes and walk straight past her.

The boy with blue hair and blue wings rolls his eyes. Sol is not that bad of a Guardian, but he constantly is following either his sister Maria around or this girl, Midnight, around.

Midnight Paw, when she was alive, was a witch. She did empathetic healing and sympathetic potions. She was born in 1409 and killed herself in 1425, when she was just 16 years old. Her boyfriend, Dexter, was killed because the people didn't know how to kill her. She ended up throwing herself down a well, breaking her neck.

Sol Furr, when he was alive, was an outcast. He was dating a werewolf and his father found out. It was bad enough that Sol was in love with a wolf, but the wolf was a boy. He was born in 1920 and killed himself in 1938, when he was 18 years old. Sol's father shot and killed Jack, Sol's boyfriend. He took a sharp dagger and slit his wrists.

These two are the closest I have to friends. I only ever had my pack, but they disowned me. I still haven't gotten used to people actually trying to care about me, even after ten years of being dead. I was born in 2000 and killed myself in 2015. Right now, it is 2025. We were on our way to get our assigned victims.

We walk in, Sol and Midnight trailing behind me chatting up a storm. I sigh as I stand in front of the Director. She is a stout woman with silver wings, blonde, curly hair, and bright blue eyes. If I wasn't gay, I would probably find her attractive. She is the one who created the Guardian Angels. Her eyes bored into mine, impatience burning on her face. We were late and of course, she's blaming me.

"Andy Locck, you're late." the Director stated, plain and simple.

I rolled my eyes but stayed silent. She glared in my direction then looked behind me, glancing at Sol and Midnight. She sighed but stayed composed.

"You all most likely know why you're here, so I won't bother explaining it. Here are your victims' profiles such as where they live and gender. The basics. You have until tomorrow to leave and complete this. Completing this can take as long as you need. Once the person either decides to continue living or kill themselves, you can ascend Above into the Heavens. That is all."

She turns on her heels and stalked away. I look down at the blue folder that she handed to me. I open it to see......

A boy that was wearing a pink sweater and a black skirt. Well, I wasn't expecting that.
