Pulling out her keys, she unlocked the door and steps in.
Her father flicked the light on as a gasp escaped from her mouth.

"Oh my God!"
She exclaimed as she ran, standing in the middle of her living room.

"Look how spacious it is!"
She spin herself around causing her dad to laugh.

"You think you can handle this?"
He asked.

"Of course! I don't think it's that much for me."
She doubted.

When her dad left, Shameece begins to unpack her things then another van came. It was from the furniture store. Before she moved, she picked out what she wanted. From her living room to bedroom. She knows her place is going to look dazzled.

Taking a seat on the chaise, Shameece looks around and deeply sighed.

"I finally got my place."
She said to herself before squealing.

She laid back and continue to look around until she fell asleep.

"Closed?!"
Shameece exclaimed as she stood in front of the boutique.

This is so unreal to her.

After dreaming of working here, she can't believe it shut down.
She shook her head and pinch the bridge of her nose. She could careless about the people who were walking past her. She had every right to be upset.

But she knew she wasn't going to stop here. She had hope that it might be another boutique that she can work at.

Entering the Niedermeyer building, she walked over to the newspapers where she pick one up and went to the front.

Looking up after retrieving her wallet, there was no one here.
She furrowed her brows and look around, hoping the person would be around here somewhere.

She rolled her eyes and was about to put back the newspaper before her head turn swiftly around at the man running out of the dinner.
"My bad."
He apologized as he stood at the register.

Before he could proceed, he look at his fingers. There were covered in cheese sauce. Instead of wiping with a napkin, he suck each finger and wiped it on his green striped long sleeve.

Shameece covered her mouth as she held back her laughter.
Besides what he did was disgusting, she also found it funny.

She place her newspaper on the counter as he rung it up.
Giving her change back, she placed it in her purse and grabbed the paper.

"Have a nice da— yo, you new around here?"
He asked.

Shameece smirked.
"Yes, I live down the street."

He smiled, sizing her up.
"Wow, you look like you're not from around here. Almost humanlike."

Shameece bursted out into laughter.
"I'm messing with you, but you look very beautiful. I'm Marlon."

She blushed.
"Thanks, I'm Shameece."

Marlon smiled.
"That's cute, how are you liking it here?"

"So far, I'm loving it. Despite my dream job being close down."

"Ah nah, the strip club is still open up the street."
Marlon joked, laughing as Shameece perched her lips.

"You're funny, Marlon."
She nodded, liking him already.

"Yeah, I know you were talking about the boutique. I'm glad they shut down cause Pops come here looking like a coloring book everyday."
Marlon shook his head, referring to his father's style.

"That's why I got this newspaper to look for more jobs. I hope I find something."

"You will. There are a few boutiques around Harlem."
He encouraged.

"It was nice meeting you, Marlon. You are a very funny guy."
She smiled, waving bye as she entered pop's diner.

Taking a seat at the booth, she took off her jacket and begins to look.
She paused in what she was doing and look up. A smiling Marlon sitting across from her.

"Hey girl, it's good to see you again!"
Marlon greeted causing Shameece to laugh.
