Birds of a Feather Flock Together

A young girl with a flowing mane of (h/c) hair sat upon her humble steed, looking out towards the mysterious mountains in the far distance, the wind blowing gently against her face. Hues of pink and orange coloured the vast cloudy sky, slowly transitioning the warm afternoon into the cold dark night, the sun barely visible among hundreds of thousands of white clouds.

You sighed contentedly as you patted your horse's mane, leaning closer to whisper to the tamed animal. "See that big horse's head in the north, (h/n)? I think we will be able to reach it before it's completely dark. Wouldn't it be lovely to finally be able to explore this part of Hyrule?"

Your horse neighed happily in response, looking back at you with a loving gaze before turning back to continue the walk towards the stable. You laughed and raked your hand through its mane, feeling so grateful that you had such a nice steed for a company on your numerous travels.

Taking in a deep breath, you smiled as the scent of grass and trees filled your hungry lungs. It had always been an ambition of yours to explore all parts of Hyrule, and as this was your first spot after leaving your home in Hateno Village, you were really excited.

Thunder suddenly roared in the distance, causing you to flinch as the sound was so loud and thunderous. Lightning also flashed before your eyes, lighting up the scenery around you for a split second before everything returned to normal.

You quickened your horse's speed and soon arrived at Rito Stable just as the sun was fully engulfed by the black mountains. You smiled triumphantly and got down from your steed, greeting the lady who worked at the small stable. "Can you put my horse in a stall for tonight?" you asked her.

She agreed and you handed her your horse's leash, bidding goodbye to your steed for the night. You then turned around and walked towards the campfire on the ground, which was seemingly unoccupied at the moment.

You sat down in front of it, yawning sleepily as you watched the flames dance. You heard a rumble in the pits of your stomach that indicated you were hungry and, feeling too lazy to cook a full meal, you made do with a few ripe apples that would go bad soon if not eaten. You had planned to make honeyed apple with it, but you were too hungry and tired to bother.

Having finished devouring them, you looked up towards the night sky, the stars looking like luminous diamonds sprinkled across the entirety of it. It was so enrapturing, you stayed up for a few more minutes just to enjoy the beauty of it.

After a few more yawns, you finally stood up and walked into the inn to sleep. You paid for a simple bed and laid down on it, your eyelids heavy with all the things you had done today. However, you didn't fall asleep right away; a thunder had sounded again, causing you to worry.

If it rains tomorrow, you wouldn't be able to go up into Rito Village. The rain would make the bridges so slippery that one slip could end up in death, and you weren't prepared to die before you had at least explored more parts of Hyrule.

You at last dozed off, unaware that rain had fallen during the night while you were peacefully asleep.

Dawn at last came. Rays of bright sunlight found their way in through the openings of the inn, and birds chirped in the early morning air, presenting a nice melodious tune that made the people at the stable smile. The sound of the wind blowing past the little copse of trees nearby sounded lovely too, mixed with the neighing of wild horses that were grazing around the small stable.
