Ophelia wasn't impressed when she found out a bunch of Veela's would be taking over Hogwarts for a year. She didn't like the idea of the spotlight being taken away from her. James watched the girl amused, as she angrily slapped her books down on the table.
"Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" James asked,
Ophelia glared at the boy, a small grin couldn't help but make its way up, "I dislike these French girls,"
"You do realise you're part Veela yourself?" James stated, making Ophelia groan,
"Don't remind me," She said,
James let out a snort before continuing on eating his breakfast leaving Ophelia to her own thoughts. A smirk made is way upon her face. A smirk James Taylor knew all too well. "I know that face, Ophelia what are you doing?" James asked,
Ophelia mouthed watch before looking over at Cedric and focusing on entering his mind, once she was in she made a nasty comment about Cho, "Hoe Chang is definitely not prettier then Ophelia Black,"
James and Ophelia watched satisfied, as Cedric fell off the bench from being startled by the voice Ophelia put in his head. A laugh left her lips as she watched him gather his stuff and run out the hall.
"What did you do?" James asked amused,
Ophelia shrugged, "Only messed with his mind a little bit," She smirked,
"You scared him off," James pointed out,
"I see th-"
"Ophelia can I talk to you?" Harry asked, interrupting her,
Ophelia scowled at the boy, and looked back down her plate pretending to eat. James took it as his cue to help her out, "Ophelia's eardrums popped, she can't hear a thing," James smiled innocently at the Gryffindor boy,
"She was literally talking to you a minute ago," Harry said,
James raised a brow, "We were talking through eye contact, you should practise,"
"Forget it," Harry snapped, walking off back to where he was sitting at the Gryffindor table,
"Someone's on their man period," Ophelia snorted,

Ophelia felt alone most of the time, While James was off with the twins she'd be at the astronomy tower alone, her thoughts suffocating her. Footsteps knocked her out of her own thoughts, she looked up only to be met with a pair of dark eyes.
"What do you want Cedric?" Ophelia grumbled,
Cedric walked over to her, taking the spot across from her, "I want to apologise,"
Ophelia looked down, "Save the apology for somebody else,"
"Ophelia, can you just listen to me!" Cedric begged, "Please, just hear me out,"
Ophelia looked up at him, "Go ahead then,"
"Well first off, Ophelia I'm so sorry for the whole Cho thing, I should've told you." Cedric took in a deep breath, "My feelings got the better of me, something inside me was telling me to kiss her. But as soon as I did it, I instantly regretted it, but now I don't. I want to know why you ignored me after it Ophelia,"
"I can't tell you," Ophelia whispered,
Cedric frowned, "Why not? Ophelia, if you don't tell me I'd just assume you like me,"
"That's because I do like you! God damn it, but it doesn't matter now does it?" Ophelia snapped, tears threatening to fall from her eyes,
"Ophe-"
"Save it! I got to go," Ophelia quickly got up from her spot, dashing past Cedric and down the stairs. The tears that threatened to fall, now fell rapidly down her face, not watching where she was going, Ophelia bumped into something, that something turned out to be a someone,
"Ophelia?"
"Harry?"
Harry grabbed her chin, lifting it up so she could face him, "Hey, what's wrong?"
Ophelia shook her head, not wanting to tell him what happened at the astronomy tower. Harry quickly pulled the girl into a hug, kissing her forehead gently while muttering soothing words to her. Ophelia looked up at Harry, a sad smile played on her lips.
"Thank you," She whispered,
"I'll always be here Ophelia," Harry said, looking down at her noticing that she was now asleep in his arms.
Harry smiled before getting up and carrying her to his dorm, where should could sleep peacefully while the others were at Hogsmeade.
