chapter one - The dance -

Why the hell do I have to go to this. I was planning on just hanging around the mystery shack, maybe walking around in the woods exploring a bit, or reading. But nOoo, the day before I had to start my sophomore year Mable was going to drag me to some random girls party. I mean like really, how well could she even know her, it was only our second day in this town. I looked in the mirror and straightened my bowtie.

"ARE YOU DONE YET?!" I heard Mable call for outside the bathroom door. "Just a sec." I sad back.

"CoME On!" Mable whined from behind the door. I looked myself up and down in the mirror then opened the bathroom door, to find Mable standing there in a purple off one sholder top with a neon yellow skirt, and fishnet gloves. Her hair was also pulled into a side ponytail on her head.

"oh... did i forget to tell you its eighties themed?" Mable inquired trying, and failing to not let out a laugh. I slammed the door.

"Wait, that's not eighties themed." Mabel said confusion hinting at her voice when I walked out of the bathroom after shutting the door in her face wearing my normal blue ripped jeans, dark blue shirt with a small pine tree on it, and a red flannel. " I don't care about the theme. I don't even want to go." I responded bluntly.

She seemed disappointed, maybe I should have been nicer. However, before I could say anything she garbed my arm and dragged me down stairs and out of the house into Stan's truck.

She took the front which I was fine with, I didn't really feel like talking right now and sitting in the back gave me a chance to think. leaning my head against the window I watched the wilderness pass by us.

Wonder if school is going to be hard this year, its never been in the passed. But I had my few friends at my old school, now I have no one... well excepted Mable. I chuckled to myself. she probably already had a bunch of friends she randomly meet on the street. Guess I'm really not one for socializing, I'll only be here for the school year, then back home.. so no need to make a bunch of friends ... right?

Before I could continue that thought the truck screeched to a stop. "what the hell." I said under my breath as my eyes took in the whole place. What I had expected was someone's house, just them having a little get together right before school started, not.. this. This was a mansion. And it seemed a bunch of people were already there. oh god, how the hell am I going to get through this.

I hopped out of the car with a sigh, preparing myself for hours of socializing with a bunch of annoying people I didn't know. Mable grabbed my arm once again pulling me up to the massive front doors, almost as soon as we reached the door what seemed to be a butler opened them.

Again, I couldn't believe my eyes. It- it was amazing. The giant house had all its lights off, excepted for the giant disco ball hung from the celling projecting colorful lights everywhere. There was loud pop music playing and it seemed like the entire town was there. Upon closer inspection there were servers walking around with trays of food and drinks as well. What the hell was this.

"IS THAT YOU MABLE??" I heard a shrill voice screech over the crowd of dancing people. "CANDY?" Mable cried out before disappearing into the crowed. leaving me standing all by myself. Shit. I decided I would walk around and look for a place to sit or something.

I pushed through the initial crowed of people before finding the smaller rooms of people around the main area. These rooms were mostly filled with couples and small groups of friends lounging around on furniture just talking and enjoying the atmosphere of the party.

There. an open seat near a wall where I could sit and play on my phone till I could leave. I settled down on the couch, to find it very comfy. I leaned my back against the wall and pulled out my phone. This was going to be a long night.

OKay for the first thing I've ever done I think its going pretty good. I have always loved the high school AU's of gravity falls so I really wanted to write this. I have absolutely no plan for updates or anything, they will come when they come
