A rat scuttles across a hall,
Ants roaming among them all.
Light has finally left the world,
Forever more the darkness holds.
People hide late at night,
Nothing fills them but the fright,
Hearts thundering loudly in chests,
The world is no longer at it's best.
Years ago no one foresaw,
Not a little crow left to go caw-caw!
Pain and suffering have taken control,
The rest are left to hide in a hole.
Not yet, though, her will is broken,
From all the words that have been spoken,
Men have come to take her all,
Inside the dark and dainty hall.
Yet still she fights and believes,
In all the things she does not see.
She believes their must be a light,
All she needs to do is fight.
The end will not come too soon,
First she promises to see the moon.
The darkness shall not win again,
She will not leave you yet, my friend.
