I woke up encased in warmth. Not a comforting warmth, but it was hot, clammy and humid. There were springs jutting into my back, some cutting into my skin. I try to open my eyes, but to my dismay, they are still stitched shut and covered with a thick layer of wax.
I can hear birds.. I can hear birds! I haven't heard birds in years! I struggle, the curved rods cutting deeper but I didn't care! I pushed upwards, only to be caught by a thick cloth. Where am I? I feel around more to try and get a better grasp of where I am. There are springs.. A thick layer of cloth above me.. A thin layer of fluff. Could it be I was in a bed? My thoughts were interrupted by a loud slamming. Out of instinct, I remained purely quiet.
"They said he was last seen here."
"Let's scout out the area."
There were two voices, one male, one female.
My eyes widen and I began thrashing with all my might, my screams muffling through.
"JoJo! Over here!" Called the female voice. I hear a loud strike of metal and I hear stitches being ripped.
"Oh my god.."
"We have to get her out of here! See if you can get Wilfre!"
Their voices were beginning to fade.
"Hurry! She's bleeding bad..."
After that, was more darkness.

I awoke with a loud gasp. The breath of air I took in was larger than I expected and I choked. My mouth was.. Open? I stretched out my jaw, it was! My mouth could open! I took my chance with the eyes as well. As clear as day I took in my surroundings, there were three people surrounding me. I try to speak, but my tongue is still gone.
The eldest one smiles down at me. "Good morning sleepy head. I'm Wilfre. And these two are JoJo and Isabella."
His voice was calm and soothing, I could help but smile back.
I was handed a slip of paper and a pen.
"What's your name?"
I scribbled sloppily /Evee/.
The three grinned
"Welcome home, Evee!"
