Chapter Two: I'll Wait For You

I watched Quinn do the final cheer of the game and I smiled at her as she smile at me. It's been a month since I've met Quinn and I'm crazy about her! I made my way up to her and she started walking up to me. "Hey there beautiful." I said a couple feet away from her.
"Hey there cutie." She smiled at me widely and her caramel eyes glistened from the football stadium lights.
"You were fantastic out there!" I exclaimed and she giggled as she rolled her eyes.
"You're the one who was great out there Banks." She said sternly and I chuckled at her.
"John!" I heard my Mother shout from the bleachers and I smiled at her. My brother, Jace, jogged behind her with my little sister, Gracie, trailing behind him.
"Hi Mom!" I shouted and she started walking up to us.
"Dude, great job out there!" Jace exclaimed as he finally reached us.
"Thanks Jace." I said and I saw Jace practically drooling over Quinn and Quinn giggled at that.
"Who is that?" He gasped and I chuckled.
"This is Quinn, Quinn this is my brother Jace." I said and she shook his hand.
"This is Quinn?!" He practically screamed but I just ignored him and noticed Gracie running up to me and I scooped her up into my arms.
"Hey Gracie!" I exclaimed and squeezed her to my chest. Gracie was 4 years old and Jace was 13 years old and my Mom was pregnant again. My Mom, Hailey, practically waddled up to us with the biggest smile on her face.
"God, it seems like it took me an hour just to get over here." She teased and embraced me in a hug as she kissed my cheek and said, "Congratulations sweetheart." I smiled and lightly squeezed her.
"Thanks Mom," I pulled away from her and gestured towards Quinn. "Ma, this is Quinn-"
"You're Quinn?!" My Mother exclaimed and Quinn giggled as she began to blush.
"Yeah, I'm Quinn." She said and my Mother engulfed her in a hug.
"You are so beautiful!" She exclaimed which caused Quinn to giggle again and turn even redder as my Mom turned to look at me. "You never said she was incredibly gorgeous!" My Mother scoffed and I chuckled as I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.
"I'm sorry." I said and Quinn smiled at me, it was the most beautiful smile I had ever seen.
"I'm Hailey, I'm Johnathan's Mom," She said and Quinn nodded her head as my Mom placed her hands on Jace and Gracie. "This is my second oldest Jace and my, for now, youngest and only daughter Gracie." She said and then placed her hand on her stomach. "And this is either Hannah or Joey." She said and Quinn waved at everyone.
"You really like J's for the boys." Quinn acknowledged and my Mom chuckled.
"Yeah, I do." She said and smiled at Quinn. "I'm so glad he found you because he has not liked any girl in this town until you, I actually thought he was gay." She teased and Quinn giggled which caused my face to burn really bad.
"Jesus Ma!" I exclaimed as I placed my hand over my eyes in embarassment.
"You're really pretty." Gracie said softly and Quinn smiled widely at her.
"Why thank you! But you are by far the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." Quinn informed her and Gracie giggled and started blushing.
"Congrats John!" My Dad called from behind me and I noticed him jogging up to us.
"Hey Dad!" I shouted and he ran up to me and hugged Gracie and I.
"I'm so proud of you Johnathan." He sighed and I smiled.
"Dad, this is Quinn." Jace said cutting in and pointing at Quinn and my Dad froze.
"Dang Johnathan, I taught you right!" My Dad teased and everyone errupted into laughter.
"Oh no you didn't! Johnathan's a good boy, you were a player!" My Mom teased and took Gracie out of my arms.
"It's not my fault all the ladies loved me, but only one girl caught my heart." He said as he kissed her sweetly and we all smiled and I looked over at Quinn. She smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Would you like to join us for dinner, Quinn?" My Mom asked and she looked over at her.
"Oh I don't know, I don't want to intrude-"
"You wouldn't be intruding at all!" Jace said and I chuckled and Quinn smiled as she looked over at me.
"Is that alright with you all?" She asked us and I smiled and nodded and so did everyone else. Gracie gasped and looked at Quinn.
"I can show you my doll collection!" Gracie squealed and Quinn laughed.
"I'd love to see your dolls cutie!" Quinn said and smile at Gracie.
