Prologue

It was about 2 in the morning and I was at the local corner store, Eric was there, he's always here when i'm here. It's weird but he's cute so I don't think too much of it. I've had the biggest crush on him for as long as I can remember. Eric and I go to the same high school where he's one of the popular kids while i'm more shy and reserved, at least, that's what I let people believe. I get bullied by Aspen and her minions, but I don't let them think they get under my skin. I was looking down the aisles for a sweet treat until Aspen came around.

"You know you don't need all those sweets hun, you're already as big as you're gonna get." she said, fake concerned. I just ignored her and continued shopping.

"You know," Aspen started."all that food is the reason your single and always will be." she and her minions laughed.

"Who says she's single?" a male voice said as I felt a strong pair of arms wrapped around me. Aspen was stunned. "Eric, what are you doing here?" she asked.

"Getting snacks with Becca." he replied

"Why would you be shopping with her?"

"Cause we're having a movie date at my house, why?"

"Are you two a thing?"one of her blonde minions, Christina, asked.

"Yeah." I said, kissing his cheek.

"But, she's ugly." Gabbie stated.

"No she's not and you need to accept that she's prettier than all of you." Eric sassed. I giggled to myself. As Eric and I were walking away, the girls stood there in shock, but we didn't care. I paid and we walked out.

"You know, that movie date did sound nice." I told him as we headed to his car.
