I sighed as my mom drove me to my first session. I dont know why but she didn't trust me to go on my own- which was complete bullshit. "Mom, why do I even have to go, this is so dumb?!"

"Because honey, you talk to yourself... I think it's time for a therapist," she said while rolling her eyes.

"You know it's actually healthy to talk to yourself." I responded.

"Yes, every once in a while, not having full blown conversations with yourself everyday.. And answering yourself."

I blushed and looked out the window. "Dad say he talks to himself so why doesn't he have to do this?"

She sighed, frustrated. "Dad does it in his head and dad is old enough he can make his own decisions."

    "Im twenty-one!!"

"And you're dealing with a lot of pressure and since you won't talk to me you can talk to Jay."

"I dont even know him! He could hurt me!" To be honest, the guy didn't sound that bad.  I just didn't want to go see a therapist.

Mom sighed. "You remember your brother's friends from highschool right?"

    "Some of them.."

"Jay played football with your brother"

"You mean the guy who liked to pick on me because none of my friends liked being around my family?"

    "Yep,"

"And the same guy who asked me to homecoming just to stand me up so everyone could make fun of me?"

    She sighed. "Yes, Rose."

"And you, my MOM, expect me to talk to the guy who treated me like shit?"

    "Matt said Jay has changed."

I laughed. "Yeah right. I'll believe it when I see it!"

Mom pulled up to the office. "Just go." I opened my door to get out "Oh! And Jay has my number if anything happens."

"You gotta be shitting me!" I sighed and got out of the car. I looked at the building and thought to myself 'Well, there goes my pride.'
