The rest of the help didn't take my leaving too well. Lisa seemed happy I was moving on, Sylvia made a crude remark about not being able to get back in my pants, and Rose gave me a five minute hug. "You better come back sometime. You're like, the only normal one anywhere close to my age." she said, whispering the second part. "Aw c'mon, Ronald's pretty normal sometimes." I said before he grabbed my ass. After I knocked him to the ground I turned back to her, "When he's not grabbing your ass anyway." he got back up and said, "Don't worry, her ass is safe." as he wiggled his eyebrows at me. *Shivers intensely* The family that lived there really didn't care about the fact I was leaving. Bobs wife mumbled a 'good riddance' under her breath and if it wasn't for my respect for her husband I'd have fed her her wine glass.
I walked to the local car dealership and picked out a black and red 67 camaro. I then went to the place I picked to live in and waited patiently. I had made a meeting the day Melissa and I took our ride. She took me on the official tour even though I had broken in to check it out myself that night. I had Megan teach me a few things about lockpicking and recently got a large quantity of practice. I had zoned out and was surprised to hear the real estate agent address me personally. "Sir? I was saying that there had been a large amount of break ins recently in case you wanted to know." She said for a second time apparently. "Thank you but I think this is the house I want. How much?" As we went into the details of the five bed four bath house with a fully set kitchen, a garage, and a laundry room. I was looking further and further forward to living in my own place. This was going to be great.
That night Melissa and I slept in the floor of the living room. There was a large rug and it was fairly comfortable considering it was a rug. We had no beds or other furniture that night so we made due. The next day our mission was to make sure nobody would sleep on the floor again in that house. We had five mattresses and four frames delivered. I always liked my mattress on the floor. We then went to buy sheets and comforters for the 5 king sized beds. Shopping with Melissa turned out to be a huge ordeal. She was a major victim of OCD apparently and couldn't stand for the beds to not match the rooms so we had to buy decorations to match her room so I grabbed a few things for mine too. I got an average sized safe to put in my room and a few weapon racks. Melissa was picking up bathroom necesseties while I was in the electronics section looking for a tv. I looked up from one and noticed a familiar face.
"Hey Abigail whats up?" I asked her. Taking her attention away from the computers for a moment she looked at me with a face of rage until she registered who I was. "Oh hey Joe, how've you been doing?" She asked. "I'm doing great. Just bought a new house and got a new housemate who happens to be dying to meet you, and how are you?" I asked again. "I've been doing okay I guess. Me and Megan hit a bit of a rough spot. Those asses from the pawn shop found out where we lived and torched it. We would have called you to say hi or whatever but we left our phones in the place. We lost just about everything." I was seriously concerned now and a bit angry. "Do you two have a place to stay? Do you have cash to buy food?" I droned off a few more questions before I realized I probably sounded like an annoyingly concerned dad. "We've been staying in a cheap motel not far from here and we've been getting enough food." she said as her stomach growled in disagreement. "You shouldn't lie to those who can help." I said. Where's your sister?" She sighed before saying, "She's probably snagging something from the food isle." I then had another question. "Why are you looking at these computers by the way?" She sighed again before saying, "Just torturing myself by looking at something I can't get." I knew I had made a massive dent in my savings in the course of three days but the way she looked at those computers made me hurt. "Which one were you planning on getting?" I asked. "I wasn't planning on getting any of them being that I can't afford any of them." I nodded in understanding. "Which on do you think is the best?" She then droned on and on about one that she picked up with a passion similar to that of a poet. She lost me after she started to talk about the different parts so while she was looking at the thing I stuck a boxed one in my cart. "Well if you want one so bad then I'll get you one, and if you need to you and your sister can stay with me at my place."
