I heard a steady beeping noise. I cracked my eyelids open a little bit, the light stinging them.

I looked around, white walls, tiled floor. I knew I was in a hopsital. My memory was a little fuzzy. I got my eyes open enough to look around. My body felt stiff as a rock. My bones cracking with every twist. There were a few people in the room with me, I didn't recognize them. I heard voices.

"doctor! she's awake!" they were too loud my head hurt. A man came in the room.

"Greta? can you hear me?" I just looked at him. Car crash, I rememeber that. I looked at my hands, I didn't have any bruises or cuts. Harry.

"Harry?" I said, it's all I could get out.

"Greta listen to me, do you know where you are?" the doctor spoke slowly.

"hospital." my dry lips whisperd. I could hear my dads voice.

"gret?!" he came rushing through the door. Tears flooded his eyes, he hugged me tightly, kissing me on the forehead.

"gret." my dad looked like he was in utter shock. Was there a huge gash on my face or something? Everyone was acting weird.

"gret do you know what happend?" he asked.

"Harry and I were driving home." I stumbled.

"there was a truck." I finished.

"is Harry okay?" I raised my voice a little.

"gret Harry is fine. Sweetie, do you know what today is?"

I thought for a moment. "uhh July 2nd, 2010."

My dad looked confused, with a bit of pain in his face.

"sweetheart, today is August 5th of 2012."

I stared at him for a little. Why couldn't I rememeber the last two years?

"what?" I said.

"sweetie you have been in a coma for two years." he said. I looked at him for a while, then turned away. Two years of my life just gone?

I looked away from my father. I say up right, I understood why my body was so stiff, the strangers in the room.

I stood up, my legs had gotten even skinnier, my knees buldging out. I walked over to the mirror and looked at my hollowed out cheek bones and frail hair. Dark circles underneath my eyes. I looked different, unhealthy, and older.

"so I'm 18?" I asked my father, he slowly nodded his head. I wondered what happend to all my friends back home, Harry.

"can we go home?" I said.

"soon sweetie." he said as the doctor came in. I had to run a bunch of tests for the next week.

They still didn't understand what caused me to wake up. Finally I got to go home, I looked at the buildings on the way home, all the changes.

"well fix everything." my dad said trying to reassure me. I didn't see how we could fix any of this.

I just turned the radio on the end the conversation.

"next up, the newest hit from One Direction." I had no idea who they were. Catchy song, nothing special.

Then I heard something, there was a voice I recongized.

I looked up quickly, my dad raced to change the station but not quick enough,

"Harry?" I said.

"was that Harry?" I asked my dad.

"why don't you just get some sleep, well be home in like 45 minutes." he responded.

I was exhausted so I quickly fell asleep. When I got home it was like nothing had changed. There was tons of flowers and food by the door. Old boxes lying around the house, it looked pretty lifeless. I walked up to my bedroom, my dad left it completly unchanged, even kept it clean.

"dinner will be in an hour!" my dad called up. i looked at my old clothes. Now a little too big for me. I change into sweatpants and a t-shirt. I tried my best not to think about everything I've missed, university, my friends.

I didn't have a phone. There were old cards, it seemed like most of my friends were gone, I cant blame them for forgetting about me, I would have done the same. I thought about my last memories, with Harry, spending the night cuddled up against him.

I closed my door and opened up my computer. I typed into google, "one direction." I was flooded with pictures, Harry and four other guys. there were tons of stories, some about Harry, he had over six million followers on twitter now. His band was breaking records. He looked so different I barely recognized him.

Then came up another story,

"Harry Styles getting serious with girlfriend." I clicked on it, up came a picture of Harry in a suit with a beautiful woman on his side.

"girlfriend."

the word echoed inside my head.

I quickly shut my computer and wiped away a tear from my cheek. Guess Harry had forgotten about me.

In my mind we were still dating, in my mind only a week ago we had spent the night together. I wondered where he was.

I looked out my window, only Anne's car was in the driveway. There were about five girls standing outside his house, I didn't know why.

I closed the shades quickly and sat on my bed. I didn't know how to feel, I wasn't angry or sad, I guess just confused. I went down for dinner. We watched some TV together, new shows.

"dad.." I said.

"yeah?" he replied. I was going to ask him about Harry but I decided not to.

"nothing, I'm goin to get ready for bed, night." I quickly kissed him on the head and ran up to my room. I opened my computer again. I wanted to know everything about one direction. I quickly learned they all auditioned for the xfactor and got put together.

That makes sense. They have been around for about two years, their fans are called "directioners" and they had already gone on tour. I heard some noise outside.

A limo pulling into Harry's driveway. I looked outside as around 15 girls waved as it pulled in.

Out stepped a brown haired boy. He was tall. I quickly realize who it was. I guess Harry was home.
