From Points of Two (hyunjeong fanfic)

Jealousy

Today started off pretty normal as always I showered and got dressed but for some reason I was excited today. I didn't want to admit it to myself but I have a feeling it's because of that new student. I threw away the thought and said goodbye to my family before rushing outsidoutside before I was late. As I was walking down the sidewalk I felt a presence behind me so I turned around, it was hyunjin he stood not far behind me and smiled brightly when I turned around. I felt myself blush and stopped walking and looked down
H: I tried to catch up with you but you were walking so fast haha
J: oh haha my bad
H: is it ok if I walk with you?
J: yeah sure
So I ended up walking to school with him- eventually we arrived and my friend Seungmin met up with me like he always did at the front of the school.

But seungmins expression was slightly strained when he saw the new student glued to my side
S: took you long enough you always keep me waiting
J: I'm sorry I know I was slacking this morning
I bowed to him embarrassed and feeling guilty
S: haha stop it fine
He patted my head, seungmin has always been kind to me and dealt with my messy flaws I guess thats why he's so close to me
S: who's that
H: oh hi I'm new my name is Hwang Hyunjin I'm a senior
S: oh it's nice to meet you I'm Kim Seungmin I'm also a senior
H: I hope to see you around often
Hyunjin smiled and went ahead to class I stayed behind to walk to class with Seungmin
S: I don't think you should hang around him
J: w-what why
S: he just seems like bad news a player and you're naive he might rub off on you and give you a bad attitude
Seungmin ruffled my hair as he said what he said but the look on his seemed serious, I just smiled and nodded before we split paths and went to class. I entered and sat down at my desk. The teacher announced that today we'd be doing a paired project. We'd have to study the person next to us for a week and give a presentation as a way to bring the class closer to one another. On one hand I was happy my partner would be hyunjin but at the same time I'd have to spend a week alone with him and that for some reason that made me nervous. We exchanged contact information and agreed to eat lunch together.  We sat down in the cafeteria and next thing I knew someone came behind me and covered my eyes
S: guess who
J: hmmm an annoying dog
S: woof woof
J: haha
J: you never eat lunch in the cafeteria
S: I guess I changed my mind
Seungmin sat next to me and we ate lunch together, however it seemed so tense, they kept interrupting each other so I ended up trying to hold too different conversations. Eventually lunch was over and we stood up to leave  hyunjin walked over and draped his arm over my shoulder and stared at seungmin while pulling me away
H: let's go we don't wanna be late for class
J: o-oh yeah your right
Seungmin suddenly reached out and grabbed my arm I looked at him confused
J: what's wrong?
S: oh um nothing
He released my arm quickly
S: I'll see you at vocal practice
He scratched the back of his head and smiled but he seemed pained I smiled at him hoping he was ok
J: yea see you
We parted and I headed back to class the day went by smoothly and soon I was in the practice room after school. My lesson went by fairly quick but I couldn't stay focused Seungmin was almost annoyed and I couldn't tell why. I walked out of the practice room for a breathe of air when I heard music coming from down the hall. I walked down and peaked into a practice room to find hyunjin practicing dancing

I've never seen him so serious before it was incredible the way he changes when he dances. I quickly ran back to the practice room before he could see me.
S: where did you go
J: just to get a breathe of air
Seungmin looked at me in disbelief and we finished our lesson I walked outside to leave  we walked down the hallway and outside the dance room was hyunjin waiting on his phone in his casual clothes I'm guessing he changed after practice

He smiled when he saw me
H: hey I waited so we could walk home together again
Seungmin stopped walking and held me back
S: you walk home together?
J: u-uh yeah
Seungmin looked almost disappointed at me and sighed
S: see you tomorrow
He left without another word. Why did I feel guilty. I tried not to think about it and walked home with Hyunjin
H: for the project why don't you come to my house after school
J: your house!?
H: haha yeah it's not a big deal that way you can find everything out at about me
He smiled so innocently but I was terrified what would his house be like what would his parents think having a kid he's only met recently enter their home. I stuttered while trying to reply
H: haha so cute, calm down it's fine
We reached the split between our houses where we'd have to go seperate ways
H: I'll see you tomorrow okay
I nodded still in shock, he smiled and went the opposite way I ran inside and went straight to my room. I fell onto my bed extremely stressed. Why was seungmin so upset earlier and I'm going to hyunjins house after school. I sighed and buries my face in my pillow when my phone pinged I opened it to see to messages almost the exact same a message from seungmin reading "don't be late again sleep well I'll see you tomorrow" And one from Hyunjin "goodnight see you tomorrow :)" My chest felt tight what is this feeling I felt happy but something else I responded thank you goodnight to both and fell asleep.
