Save Me

Chapter 3

The sun shine at my eyes, still hearing few raindrops outside since the rain have ended few hours ago. My stubborn self wanted to see the sunset in a full view, so to prevent myself from falling, I hold onto things that are close to me and made my way to the window. 

"So, this is what a sunset looks like?" I asked myself.

"Never seen a sunset before?" a familiar voice I heard.

"What the f-" before I even finished my sentence, I accidentally let go of the object I'm holding onto and fell, I heard a rushing footsteps coming my way and I looked up, it was him, "jeez quit scaring people in the back! Especially the ones that are injured here!" I shouted.

"Damn sorry, I didn't know you'll get scared easily, but question, not out of curiosity, you never seen a sunset?" He asked.

"Yep, I never seen a sunset ever since, my room is all the way in the back of my house, the curtains are closed, it's all pitch black."

Kaji took both of my arms and help me up on my feet and led me outside of the apartment, "Well if you want a better view, I'll let you out as long as you want, but it's kinda chilly though."

"I don't care about the weather being chilly after the rain, it felt great to be honest, smelling more freedom even though I'm not supposed to be."

"What do you mean?" He asked.

I looked at his way, "you took me away from my parents who didn't loved me, or should I say, I got kidnapped by you, but it's worth it."

Kaji scratched his head and showed an annoyed face, "whatever, just do what you gotta do and come back inside."

After a few minutes of admiring the sunset, I went back inside, and couldn't see him anywhere, "h-hey Kaji? Where you at?"

A door bust open with a steam coming out of the room, "here, I tried to convert the hot and cold water together, but nothing worked, so you're most likely going to take a hot bath."

"Ah, no worries, I like hot baths and thank you by the way."

"Whatever, just go in the bath, and I'll take care of the rest." he said.

I didn't hesitate and undress myself and went in the bath, then Kaji, once again, took care of me, "I could've done this by myself." I said quietly.

"How are you going to be recover, if you're going to force the pain while taking care of yourself? I don't understand," he said.

I let out a quiet sigh, until he mentioned something to me, "so..chain marks..is that how cruel your parents are?" Kaji asked. I looked back at him and looked at the marks, "you saw it huh? Chain marks on me, yep, that's how cruel monsters my parents are."

Silence fell in between us, Kaji just finished washing my hair, but when he's going to scrub my back, he saw something else, "if you don't mind telling me, can you tell me all about you? We're strangers that's why I have to know you better before I really decide to let you stay."

"No problem, I'll tell you everything, I'm open 'bout it anyways." I said.

Few minutes have passed, Kaji left me in the bathroom so I can finish cleaning myself with the remaining soap spots on my body, "when you're done, here's some clothes I took from the city, not as fancy as you think, but at least it'll help you from getting cold." Kaji put my new clothes on the table, " you don't have to tell me your full story right now, just let me know when you want to tell me," he then left me.

 It doesn't have to be a fancy clothes, I thought.

Later on, I got out of the bathroom and saw the place, pitch black, "H-hey Kaji? Where are you? Why the hell is it so dark though?"

I made my way through the living room and found a light, from the TV, he probably left it open, I thought. 

I heard a slight snore on the sofa, and there he is, Kaji sleeping peacefully, I caress his forehead, and put a blanket over him.

Don't worry, you don't have to get exhausted anymore when I leave, you can go back to being who you are, while I get away from my parents, and I'll pretend as if nothing of it happened.
