Puppy (WangXian)

"Wha-What's that?" Wei Ying barricaded himself off with a bunch of pillows from his boyfriend and the hellspawn in his arms.

Lan Wangji only smiled and petted the soft, snow white fur of the puppy he held close "A dog" he replied in his usual, neutral voice.

"You know I'm afraid of dogs! Get it away from meeee!" Wei Ying was whining and threw a tantrum in the middle of his pillow fort while his boyfriend tried to keep his composure and not to laugh. He bought this adorable creature to get back at him for all the teasing. He was satisfied as it seemed like it was working for now. Plus, he wanted a pet, the bunnies weren't enough for him. 

"Not an 'It'! I call her 惡作劇(Èzuòjù)" He took a step closer to his partner and held the dog out to him.

Wei Ying did not appriciate any of that. He moved back as much as his sancuary of pillows let him "Not funny!" he whined as he crossed his arms like a kid who didn't get the toy he wanted "Take it away! We're not keeping it"

"Her." Lan Wangji corrected once again, shaking his head "She's cute, so we are keeping her. The bunnies will love her,"

"No! It will eat the bunnies, then.. Then it will bite me! And when you are not looking it will eat you in your sleep! And then-" Wei Ying was cut off by the puppy, who let out a quiet whimper as she nuzzled further against Lan Wangji's robe.

"You're scaring her." He shook his head once again, disappointed his boyfriend doesn't like the new member of the family. He started to pet her, which made the small dog calm down.

"I'M scaring HER?" Wei Ying was so upset at this point, tears started to form in the corner of his eyes "You want to replace me! You love that thing more than meee" He started to cry, in an attempt that would make Wangji reconsider keeping the dog.

Lan Zhan just rolled his eyes and let out a soft sigh "Wei Ying. It's just a puppy"

"But you love it more than-" Once again, something cut Wei Wuxian off, but this time, it was something pleasant. A sweet kiss from the love of his life. It lasted only for seconds, but it washed away all his doubts about the love the owner of the soft lips felt for him.

"Wei Ying. No one can ever replace you. You know you are the light of my whole life and I love you" Lan Wangji's smile was subtle, but gentle at the same time. He caressed Wei Wuxian's cheek, the feeling left the other speechless. That was a rare occasion. 

After long moments of silence, Wei Ying finally spoke up "This was one of the most cheesy things you've ever said,"

Èzuòjù decided to interrupt and she tried her absolute best to reach Wei Wuxian. It caught him off guard, but she kicked his face the most gentle way possible.

"It wanted to bite me!" Wei Ying whined and moved back from the two, clearly terrified for his life.

"She loves you. Just like I do" Lan Wangji replied and flashed a gentle smile to the puppy in his arms, petting her head "You tried"

"Why don't I get that attention?" Wei Wuxian inched closer after the first wave of fear left him. He knew he was safe in his pillow fort. 

"Because you aren't an adorable puppy" Lan Zhan decided to be savage and hit Wei Ying with the sad, but true reality.

"I am most adorable than a puppy!" He grabbed onto Lan Wangji's leg and clinged onto it like a koala.

Lan Zhan couldn't hide his smile as he gazed at his boyfriend fondly. Part of the reasons why he loved him was him being so adorable. He didn't get to have much fun in his life, so this was his source of entertainment.

"Ridiculous" he whispered, like every time Wei Ying did something stupid, that amused him, but he would never admit it.

Wei Wuxian stuck his tounge out at his love, then continued to cling onto his leg. 

Some say, he is still there, waiting to get his well deserved attention from the love of his life.
