Sharing A Room

"It was nice of Emily to let us go early." JJ and I walked into the small Hotel with our bags on backs. 

"Yeah definitely, She said her and the boys here going to be a bit longer so there was no point waiting for them" My exhaustion was clear through my voice. We got strait from the jet to the police station in the morning. It felt like we never stopped moving all day, it was now closer to 10 pm. All I wanted was to just sit and relax for a bit.  

"Yes I am definitely not complaining." Rossi sighed as he dropped his go-bag by my feet. "Stay here I'll go get our rooms" 

JJ and I smiled at him as he walked off towards the desk. Emily, Matt and Luke were still going over the crime scenes from earlier today, JJ and Rossi got the honors of going to meet with the coroner and I was instructed to stay at the local police station which was fine until I was bombarded with the victims family members demanding answers. Answers we didn't have. 

Rossi made his way back to us in no time handing both of us our own room keys. "Lets go, I am dying to have a shower!" JJ and Rossi laughed at my excitement for a warm shower. 

We made our way to ours rooms and before I knew it was inside. The room wasn't anything crazy just a small room with a large double bed to the left and a bathroom to the right. I dropped my stuff down on the bed and made my way to the Bathroom. The shower was just as small as I thought it would be but I didn't care enough to be honest.  

Getting undressed I made sure to lock the bathroom door a double check I had a towel with me. After that I decided some music was needed. I shuffled my 'favourites' playlist and turned it all the way up and left it beside the sink as I turned on the shower. The feeling of the hot water felt amazing on my stressed skin. Slowly as I felt more and more relaxed a song came on that I couldn't help but sing along too.  It was only a line or two and maybe the chorus as well. It was one good song after another and I sung and danced my way through the water and shampoo.  

It wasn't until my phone light up with a text that I was brought out of my world tour. Its probably Emily or Garcia updating us I'm sure it's fine. Ignored it when back to cleaning my body but another text came in. I tired to ignore it, I mean if it was really important they would have called right? Damn this job making me all paranoid. I left the shower still running but got out to check what the texts where. two texts from Luke Alvez.

*Hotel or Rossi messed up only got 3 rooms so we have to buddy up. hope you don't mind*

Oh my god. You've got to be kidding. How much had he heard? Could anything more embarrassing happen?! Out of everyone that had to hear you sing in the shower it had to be the Luke Alvez. Mortified I decided the shower was over.  stepping out and grabbing the towel I realised I didn't bring a change of clothes in either. Great.  I dried off as much as I could and walked out. 

With the towel wrapped around my body I tried my best to keep a stern face. Luke turned around after hearing me walk out. His eyes met mine but he quickly looked down smiling as he noticed my lack of clothing. 

"Tell anyone about me singing in the shower and I will murder you! No hesitation!" I was trying my best to be serious but a smile escaped my lips as the last few words left my mouth. 

Luke just laughed and turned away and handed me my go-bag. "I won't I promise. Just go put some clothes on, I don't think HR would agree with you walking around like that" 

I wanted to keep my 'don't mess with me' demeanor but Luke smirk made me break character. "Oh please. I bet HR's the only one complaining too." I laughed it off and walked back into the bathroom. Luke mumbled something as I turned around. It almost sounded like he agreed with me. There's no way he would of. Where just friends and coworkers. strictly professional ... I think.  

I walked out a short time later in my pajamas. I wasn't planning on sharing a room when packing so my shorts were short and if I wasn't careful my oversized shirt could show a little more in the front that intended. Human Resources probably would hate me. Walking back out into the room I noticed luke had already changed. His less casual look really did wonders for his body but I wasn't about to get caught staring. 

I walked beside him seeing if there was something from the mini fridge I could eat.  "Wow do you always sleep half naked or am I just lucky?" I could here Luke voice from the other side of the bed. Okay if this is the game he's play than game on. 

"Please this is covered up for me. Usually it's no pants and and a tank top" 

"I definitely wouldn't mind seeing that!" Lukes banter was heading more towards flirting but I wasn't one to complain. 

"Jesus, buddy slow down there a bit. Take a girl to dinner before asking to see her with no clothes on." I laughed off his statement and he chuckled too. 

"So let me." Luke leaned agent the wall with no effort.

"Let you what?" I finished my water and looked at him with confusion. 

"let me take you to dinner? After this case I know this great place you'd love!" 

I couldn't believe it. Alvez was actually asking me out on a date! He wasn't just kidding!

"I'd  uh, I'd love too" I tried to hide my blush but it didn't do much. 

"Awesome, but you would probably need to wear a little bit more that just that." The flirty sarcasm picked itself right back up again. 

"Okay lover boy calm down lets just go to bed." I slid under the covers and I felt Luke do the same. I faced the wall with my back to luke and I left him laugh at the whole situation and I couldn't help but smile as well. 

Luke turned off the lamp beside his side of the bed. We both laid in the darkness trying to sleep. I'm not even sure how much time had passed before I felt Luke move over. Before I knew it his arm was over my side. He pulled me close to his body. I intertwined my fingers with his and we laid there cuddled close to each other. I didn't think I'd ever be in this situation the usually stoic and tough Luke alvez felt soft in my arms. He made me feel safe and loved. Now I know I have to try my best on this date, I don't ever want to lose this.
