UNIQ Will Promote Like EXO. It's hard not to compare the two. If SM Entertainment has EXO promoting simultaneously in China and Korea sometimes as a whole group and other times in sub-groups EXO-M and EXO-K, then YG has UNIQ to similarly fill in that role of a dual-country promoter. This is because the new YG boy group is composed of two Korean members - Cho Seungyeon and Kim Sungjoo - and three Chinese members - Wong Yibo, Ki Wenhan and Zhou Yixuan. UNIQ will likely be promoting as a group since there are only five members but it is possible they could eventually promote as a Korean duo and Chinese trio because of the next fact below.
UNIQ is A Highly Trained Fivesome. A Korean duo and a Chinese trio should be doable given the strong skillsets each member possesses. Wong Yibo, for example, is the main dancer, rapper, visual and maknae. That's a quadruple threat! The other members are similarly multi-talented, so splitting them up into complementing subgroups could WORK. The boys honed their skills by training for four straight years with days that run from 9AM to 4AM.
UNIQ Is the Tallest YG Idol Group. UNIQ has an average height of 180 cm and now officially the tallest idol group from YG Entertainment. They edged out WINNER whose average height is 179 cm and Big Bang with 170 cm.
There are only five male idol groups that beat UNIQ in the average height department - these are TVXQ, CNBLUE, VIXX, 2AM and 2PM, idol group based on MNET's Top 20 Male Idol Groups average height ranking chart revealed last June. And those are some vertically blessed boy groups, so UNIQ fans should look forward to seeing the members even when they are standing way back during music PROGRAMawards.
