I ran to my room, locking my door as my mother screamed in the kitchen. I walked to my four year old sister who was sobbing and I cradled her, putting on music as she plugged in my moms sound proof headphones. She continued to sob, causing me to start crying. She took off the headphones, "Sissy, promise me we'll never be like them! Please!" She whispered holding out her pinkie. I uneasily locked our pinkies. "I promise!" That was the first time I ever lied... but I didn't know it yet. The fight continued, my sister unaware. I was sick and tired of it and walked out of the room. "KNOCK IT OFF! YOU'BE BEEN FIGHTING FOREVER!!" They stopped.. until I fell asleep. The next morning I was exhausted, I could barely sit up because I woke up to their fighting and didn't fall asleep until sunrise.
