You're My Everything (Makoto Tachibana x Reader)

Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm on my cell phone. I hit the button and the sound shut off, I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom to get ready. Its my first day at Iwatobi high school, I'm a little nervous but also really excited to make some new friends! 

I walked out of the bathroom and back into my room and got into my school uniform. 

In my room I had a small twin sized bed with plain tan colors, beside my bed I had a small end table, it was a little beaten up but still a usable table. That's pretty much all I had in my room, other than a closet with clothes in it. You see I only live with my dad since my mother passed away when I was 12, ever since then my dad has kind of been a mess. He goes out to drink and gamble a lot and he uses most of his money for it, that's why we don't have much. He doesn't care much about me though, he makes me do all the chores in the house but other than that he could care less what I do. He probably doesn't even know I'm starting school today.

So It's been just me and my dad, well mostly me since my dad isn't home very much so I've been pretty lonely without mom. My dad doesn't like to think about mom or be reminded of her. He told me (and a lot of other people) that I look a lot like my mother so maybe that's why he doesn't want to see me much. We don't even have a shrine for her in the house or anything since dad would get angry if I put one up. He doesn't go in my room though so I have one single picture of my mom on my end table beside my bed that I can look at everyday so I can be reminded of her.

After I get my school uniform on I start to head out of my room, but before I do that I look at the picture of my mom on my end table. ''Bye mom I'm heading to school, wish me luck!''

I head out into the living room of my small house and see a few beer bottles on the coffee table in front of the tiny TV we have, also a few pizza boxes and cup noodles on the floor around the table the TV is on. I also didn't see dad anywhere which of course meant he wasn't home. It's not like I expected him to be here anyway. It's probably a good thing he isn't here, he would probably find some kind of excuse for me not to go to school. 

I headed out the door and locked the door behind me and started to walk to school. I actually left a little early so I can get a good look at the school swimming pool. I was planning on joining the swim club at Iwatobi high school, I'm not the best at swimming, I'm actually probably more on the average side, but I still enjoyed swimming a lot and it was one of my favorite things, me and my mother used to go swimming at the beach all the time before she passed away so It was a special thing to me....well it still is!

As I was walking to school I was looking at my cellphone so I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going. Suddenly I bump into what I assume was a person, and fell on my butt and dropped my cellphone, cracking the screen a bit. ''I am so sorry! I wasn't paying attention to where I was going!'' I said in a panic.

''no, no it's my fault really, I wasn't paying much attention myself.'' he said in a gentle and soft voice. 

I look around me and found my cellphone beside me and picked it up and looked at the screen for a second and didn't think the cracked screen was a big deal. 

''I was the one on my cellphone while walking.'' I laugh nervously. 

''Your not hurt are you?'' he said in a worried and soft tone. 

I look up to see a boy with brownish green hair and the same uniform as me, well it was a boy's uniform of course. He was holding out his hand for me to take. So I took his hand and he helped me up. 

''N-no I'm ok. Thank you.'' I said in a nervous yet grateful tone. I got a better look at him and realized that he was actually kinda cute, I didn't think much of it though at the time. 

The boy picked my bag up off the ground and handed it to me. He saw that I was holding my cellphone. ''Your cellphone didn't break did it?'' He said worried. ''Ah no no, Don't worry it's fine!'' I said in a happy tone. My phone did crack a bit but I didn't want to trouble him into thinking it was his fault or anything, so I just held the screen part against my chest so he couldn't see it. 

''Well that's good.'' he said with a sigh, re leaved. 

''oh! is that the girls uniform for Iwatobi high?'' he said happily. 

''oh, well yes it is.'' I said as I looked down at my uniform then I look back up at him.

''I go to Iwatobi too, although I've never seen you around before, what year are you?'' he asked

''I'm a second year, though I actually just moved here from Tokyo.'' I said

''Oh I see, well I'm a second year too!'' he said happily. ''I'm Makoto Tachibana'' he said. 

''I'm (F/N) (L/N).'' I politely answered. 

We stood there in silence for a few seconds. ''Do you want to walk to school together? Since we both seem to be going right now. Although it is a bit early for someone who isn't on class duty to be walking to school.'' He said softly.

''Sure!'' I said politely.

We started to walk to school together.

''So I assume your on duty for your class today then?'' I ask. 

''Yup!'' He said cheerfully.

''Well, I'm walking to school early to get a nice look at the pool. I plan on joining the swim club.'' I said happily. 

''You're going to join the swim club?'' He asked

''Well yeah. that's the plan anyway.'' I laugh nervously as I scratch the back of my head.

''That's awesome! I'm in the swim club!'' he said excited.

''Really?! I'm so glad someone I know will be in the swim club!'' I said in relief. 

''Don't worry the people in the swim club are really great. I'm sure you'll make friends with them easily.'' he said in a confident and gentle voice.

''Well, I'm excited to meet them!'' I said cheerfully.
