Summary of the Chapter A Heart With A Hole is located at the end

Being in Egypt was a scary, exciting and strange experience. There were lots of different smells, sights and people. You couldn't understand a word that any of these people said, all you know is that they were very excited to meet you and your parents. [1]

Arriving at the hotel room, your parents go to the car to grab the luggage your brought. Which leaves you and your big brother alone.

"Hey big brother, what's the meaning of life? I hear a lot of people ask but no one actually gives a good answer," he turns to you, adorning a somewhat melancholic smile on his face. He lets out a half-hearted chuckle.

"Well, we all have different reasons to keep living. My reason is you, I feel truly at home when we're together,"

"I don't get it, what about mama and papa? Don't you love them too?" his smile somehow becomes even more forced, but he tries to make it look more natural to comfort you.

"Well [Name], I've never told you this but I too have an imaginary friend. His name is Hierophant Green. No one but you and me have these friends, so only we can truly understand each other," you squint at him, you're only four and none of this makes sense. Your friends understand that you like playing hide and seek and so do your parents! So why did he say that?

"Well, I'm going on a walk. Stay here help get our room set up, okay?" Before you could even ask him about what he said earlier, he left. So you did what he said and helped your beloved parents.

That was the last time you saw your brother, you only found out what happened when a group of three men, who claimed to be your brothers friends, arrived at your home in Japan. Your family were told that your brother ran away and was found by the trio while on vacation. Apparently they decided to take him home but there was a car crash in which he died on the way to the airport. After the traumatic news was delivered, your parents started sobbing and told the men and you that they would be back in a moment.

The oldest member of the trio looked to you, you were shaking and on the verge of tears; you didn't know what was wrong with your brother and why these strange men were here, but you knew it couldn't be good if your parents were crying and had to leave.

"Erm, hello sweetheart. Your brother told us all about you and how you also have an "imaginary friend'' too, he loved you very much and we wanted to tell you what actually happened. You can't tell your parents, ok?" he then told you about the imaginary friends that were actually called stands, how your brother was "brain washed", the reason why they went on the trip, the fights they fought, how your brother was brutally killed by the man named DIO and how heroic your brother was, even when he was dying.

Thinking back to your early childhood like this always makes you uncomfortable. Just the act of thinking about the man that was titled as your brother speaking sentences that seemed ever changing, you couldn't remember if the words that he spoke were truly said or if your memory was faulty. It always seemed as though he didn't belong there, in your memory. He was an ethereal being making home of your mind as many believed that you actually knew him and took your blood relation to him as gospel of a sister yearning to see her older brother once more. If you ever wanted to see him again, it would be to ask him if he actually ever existed or if your mind made that version of him up and if he was truly as kind hearted as everyone around you say he was.

The only part of him that you know is real are the red hair and lonely sapphire eyes, but somehow you believe that he would look better with eyes made of emeralds.

Nonetheless, you're always exposed to Noriaki Kakyoin in some way or another. Whether it be a set of paints that had your parents reminiscing about how much of an artist he was, or the strange, cold and familiar patch of air that always seemed to loom above you. You were forever trapped with the memory of a man you didn't know.

So a summary of this is that you can't remember Kak and everyone feels that you're still torn up about him dying and that, but he's haunting you (yeah? nah?) and the title of this chap is referenced to him getting donuted and you feeling as though he doesn't belong in your memory cause you don't remember him blah blah blah.

And yes, being Kakyoin's sister is very important for understanding the relationships between the cast (Giorno is one of the ones most affected by it)

[1] As shown in the manga/anime the citizens swarmed The Crusaders to sell them their wares, to beg them for money and steal their possessions as they were foreigners and were seen as rich.
