Gameweek 2

Big points from Big players. I'm pretty sure that a majority of the FPL managers enjoyed Gameweek 1. Those who had both Salah and Sterling in their teams, GREAT JOB! But gameweek 2 could have a potential twist (I'll get to this point further on).
The premiem players had a field day but it was most of the mid-ranged or priced (6-8.5mil) players who dissapointed us. Sigurdsson, Zaha, Deulofeu, Jota, Jimenez and Fraser are some of the players who are heavily owned and managed to achieve a combined total of 11 points only!
I'm happy that most of the players that I listed in Gameweek 1 delivered and this continues but now for Gameweek 2. Gameweek 1 ended with Manchester United thrashing Chelsea 4-0 in Frank Lampards managerial debut in the Premier League. I was sure that United were going to beat Chelsea but didn't see that big scoreline coming. The United game gave Chelsea players a 4 day gap after which they faced Liverpool In the Super Cup. Chelsea were brilliant in that and Kante was outstanding on the field but Liverpool managed to win the fixture on penalties. Now, Chelsea got a 4 day gap (Match was played on Thursday [IST]) and this fixture doesn't look good for Liverpool either as the face Southampton on Saturday! A bit unfair? They're my rival, so I don't care. Wolverhampton played Pyunik in the second leg Europa League Qualifier where they won 4-0. Santos restedd mosted of his important players with only Jota, Jimenez and Dendoncker coming on as second half subs. There are four games that could decide how Gameweek 2 goes
Southampton vs Liverpool
Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspurs
Chelsea vs Leicester City
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester United
Enough talk, lets look at some of the players that could ignite your team in Gameweek 2.

1) AFC Bournemouth
D. Ake (5.0), M. Fraser (7.5), F. Wilson (8.0)
I'm going to stick with this lot for this gameweek too as they're playing Aston Villa. Callum Wilson managed to get an assist but to be honest, I was expecting goals from him vs Sheffield. The game to Aston Villa won't be as easy one and the cherries will surely have some work to do.

2) Arsenal
D. Maitland-Niles (5.0), D. Kolasinac (5.5), M. Pepe (9.5), F. Lacazette (9.5), F. Aubameyang (11.0)
Arsenal kept a clean sheet Away! Full backs usually make the best choices for picking defenders and Maitland-Niles seems to be the most logical pick. Yes, he did get an assist but he also was one of the best players on the pitch was vs a stubborn Newcastle United. You'd also want him as long as Bellerin finishes nursing his injury. Kolasinac could make his way back into the team while Laca, Auba and Pepe could all get on target vs Burnley.

3) Aston Villa
GK. Heaton (4.5), D. Mings (4.5), M. McGinn (5.6), Grealish (6.0)
Heaton made a string of saves vs Spurs in the second half and the same could be expected vs Aston Villa. Spurs found it difficult to to break Villa in the first half. Mings was commanding from the back but they conceded 3 in the end. McGinn and Grealish could could be the point snatchers but based on both Villa's and Bournemouths 1st game performances I feel like this one could be headed for a draw.

4) Brighton
D. Dunk (4.5), F. Maupay (6.0), F. Murray (6.0)
Brighton had a fantastic opening GW with a 3-0 victory vs Watford. I was expecting the scoreline to be the other way around but Graham Potter has seems adamant to prove pundits wrong who have stated that he could be the first manager to be sacked in the PL. I remember signing Neal Maupay in FIFA 14 and what a signing he was but this is reality and he did score on his debut so I'm a bit ecxited for him. I see him as a Murray replacement but Murray still has his moments.

5) Burnely
D. Pieters (4.5), M. Gudmundsson (6.0), F. Wood (6.0), F. Barnes (6.0)
Burnley beat Southampton 3-0 in their opening game and they face Arsenal in GW2. Barnes, Wood and Gudmundsson could trouble the Arsenal defence while their defence face the same issue in Pepe, Lacazette and Auba. I wouldn't invest in Burnley defenders for this GW but since he claimed two assists vs Southampton, he makes the list.

6) Chelsea
M. Mount (6.0), M. Pulisic (7.5), M. Kante (5.0)
Personally, Mason Mount was Chelsea's best player vs United. The kid was confident on the ball and gave the United defence a few scares in the first half and could be an important player for Chelsea in the future. Pulisic is destined to bang in points and Leicester could be the team he does that against. Taking a look at the Super Cup, Kante was the most impressive player on the field and without him Chelsea would look poor at the back as well as the center of the park.

7) Crystal Palce
D. van Aanholt (5.5), D. Kelly (4.0), M. Zaha (7.0)
Crystal Palace could possibly keep another clean sheet vs Sheffield United and Kelly could be a cheap and gauranted started to grab 6 points at 4 million. Moving forward Zaha and van Aanholt at fullback could be potential point grabbers. I believe Zaha's situation has improved 'a bit' at the club and should start. Zaha had a good training session and could raise eyebrows at the Bramall Lane.

8) Everton
D. Digne (6.0), M. Richiarlison (8.0)
Everton should've beat Crystal Palace but looked poor moving forward. The match vs Watford could prove vital for Evertons most picked players in Digne and Richiarlison.

9) Leicester City
F. Vardy (9.0)
If there's anyone who can break the fragile Cheslea back line, it definitley has to be Jamie Vardy. Zouma and Christensen are surely going to have a tough time.

10) Liverpool
D. Arnold (7.0), M. Mane (11.5), M. Salah (12.0)
Trent didn't start the game vs Chelsea in the Super Cup and could star vs Norwich. Mane picked up two goals in the same but Salah who I KNOW is going to be the most captained player for GW2 could deliver some big points vs Southampton.

11) Manchester City
M. Sterling (12.0), F. Aguero (11.0)
Kyle Walkers- Peters will face a difficult task of handling red hot Sterling and Aguero could make a start vs Spurs. This fixture could be decided based on fine margins as Tottenham look to clinch points to stake a claim in the title race as early as possible.

12) Manchester United
GK. De Gea (5.5), D. Maguire (5.5), D. Bisakka (5.5), M. Martial (7.5), F. Rashford (8.5)
I'm a bit skeptic about Rashford making an impact vs Wolves at the provide United with less spaces. A clean shit is what most managers should look forward to in this fixture since Wolves have already proved what a tough nut they can be to crack vs the Top 6.

13) Newcastle United
D. Ritchie (5.5), F. Joelinton (6.0)
Newcastle play Norwich and could look to bag their first 3 points of the season. Norwich will try to hurt Newcastle like they did vs Liverpool, hence no Newcastle defenders make the list except Ritchie. Joelinton seems to be the most likeliest player to grab his first PL goal vs Norwich.

14) Norwich City
F. Pukki (6.5)
Only one name that comes to mind vs Newcastle.... Pukki #nobrainer

15) Sheffield United
GK. Henderson (4.5), F. Sharp (6.0)
I noticed that Henderson had make it to the scouts team of the week but I've been backing this lad since preseason to have a special season with The Blades. Henderson kept Bournemouth at bay many a times and could repeat the same vs Crystal Palace.

16) Southampton
No one here ahaha you guys are gonna get smacked by Liverpool unless the Saints take advantage of Liverpools Thursday fixture vs Chelsea.

17) Tottenham Hotspurs
M. Ndombele (6.0), M. Moura (7.5), F. Kane (11.0)
The city game could be a massive oppurtunity for Moura to convince Poch as to why he should be bagging more minutes. Ndombele was phenomenal with the ball and managed to grab a debut goal vs Aston Villa. Spurs will be relying heavily on Kane to clinch 3 points vs Champions Manchester City.

18) Watford
M. Deulofeu (6.5)
I was very dissapointed with Watford and playing a formidable Everton just doesn't help them. Gray started to my surprise in the last game but I'm still confused as to who'll led Watford from the front alongside Deeney. Deulofeu seems like the safest pick to me if you want to pick a Hornet. (Maybe Deeney too..)

19) West Ham
F. Haller (7.5)
Haller was great moving forward and can hold the ball, inviting more of his teammates move forward. Won't be surprised if he manages to grab an assist or a goal.

20) Wolves
F. Jota (6.5), F. Jimenez (7.5)
They didn't feature heavily in the game vs Pyunik and Jota scored an amazing goal but breaking the Lindelof- Maguire partnership will be a hassle.
