"Wow, most people I know drive piece's of crap." I explain, as I climb into the passenger seat, and he gets into the drivers.
"Well, I guess I'm not most people." Definitely a smile, an extremely nice smile at that.
The next few minutes are quite, but not from lack of conversation. I notice which way were heading, and give a mental WTH.
"Heey, I thought we were going to a restaurant?"
"Nope, were going to my house. I'm gonna to cook you something." Was his reply.
"Is that safe?" I tease, grinning ear to ear.
"Hey, now. I've gotten a lot better, making cookies in the 4th grade doesn't count. It was practise!" he defended himself.
"That's what they all say!"
He scoffed at me, then turned the car, to park by a house. The house was pale green, 2 stories, with a garage. It was nice.
