BLOODBATH SEASON 1 ( ENGLISH)

THE NEW ERA- Season 1x01

In an era dominated by happiness and carefree, the emperor Kutch of Dempla ruled.
Dempla was a city founded by the love, respect and tranquility of the people.
The children were free to play in the streets of the city, where the citizens ... serene continued with their work.
Democracy dominated, the power was of the people and laws were handed down by the emperor.
Everything went well for several years, until a tyrant assaulted Dempla, killing various inhabitants of the city in cold blood.
The emperor was killed by Kodo and from there began the era of slavery.
The era where children were enslaved in the mines of the great amphitheater.
In a few years Dempla became a city where hatred, fear, anger and sadness dominated.

The large doors of the amphitheater open wide, this is not a good sign.
In the distance I hear my name.
- "JOELLE, JOELLE!"
I turn to answer Kenta.
Joelle: "I already know what's going to happen."
Kenta: "Unfortunately we all know it, we are requested above."
Joelle: "As usual, we all have to see, nobody has to forget."
Kenta: "Words of Kodo."
Joelle: "Words that puts us in the mouth."
Kenta: "Better to say his words than to have his head cut off."
I nod, then continue to the upper floor.
We climb the large stairs that lead us to the center of the amphitheater.
Kenta is getting ready on the left side, me on the right side.
After about two minutes of waiting, Emperor Kodo reaches the throne, sits down and tells Kenta to introduce the boy who must be executed before the Demplano people.
Kenta: "People demplano, today we are here in front of our emperor. Today we are here to execute another act of rebellion against the emperor Kodo.
Bring the boy here who will meet his destiny. "
The guards bring The boy to Kodo's feet, make him kneel and my mind can do nothing but feel sorry for the boy.
Kodo: "Popular people, today we have come here to put an end to another act of rebellion against me.
We all have to see, nobody has to forget. "
The performer arrives with a huge sword, as soon as the emperor Kodo makes a sign, the sword cuts the boy's head.
Kodo takes the severed head and carries it upwards, then throws it into the well that leads to the bowels of the amphitheater.
After the execution the people leave the amphitheater, Kodo approaches me.
Kodo: "Joelle, at the next execution I demand that you present everything."
Joelle: "Certainly emperor."
Kodo then smiles and moves towards his quarters.
Joelle: "Bad piece of me ..."
Kenta: "Joelle, do what you are told, it is not convenient to stand against the emperor."
Joelle: "No for sure, but for how much longer do we have to live like this? In the fear that this usurper will kill us all!"
Kenta: "I know it sounds trivial, but right now it's the only thing we can do."
Sigh then I head to the lower level of the amphitheater.
As I walk I meet Caleb, son of the merchant under my house, my father gets along very well with Caleb's parents.
Joelle: "Hi Caleb!"
Caleb: "Hi Joelle! A pleasure to see you."
Joelle: "A pleasure that you didn't see the Cal execution.
Caleb: "It was heartbreaking, right?"
Joelle: "In all honesty ... no, by now everything has become so" normal ". All this is scary!"
Caleb: "I understand you Joelle, if you are going home I can accompany you ... I have to go to my father."
With the head I nod yes, Caleb and I go out definitively from that infernal amphitheater.
We walk into the city, the sun illuminates our faces.  As we walk Caleb looks at me and smiles and I spare.

I look him in the eyes, I kiss him on the cheek.  Then he goes to his father and I go up the stairs of houses.
When I wake up I have a severe headache, I get out of bed and put on my green ankle boots.
Green is my favorite color, it gives me hope.
Mom calls me downstairs, lunch is ready, I go down the stairs and sit down at the table.
My mom is a very joyful person, always finds something positive in negative things.
Carol: "Joelle, I cooked this good lunch for you. Your father went to work in the fields."
Joelle: "Ok mom, as soon as I finish eating I think I'll go see my dad."
Carol: "I think Dad will have to wait for me, I forgot to tell you that a shitty letter has arrived."
I turn around smiling.
Joelle: "We're talking about our emperor then! When a letter comes in, it's a point of no return for someone."
Carol: "Honey I know you're in an awkward position, but at least you're here. Your head is here."
I look casually at my mother, then open the envelope and read the contents aloud.
Joelle: "Miss Joelle johnson, Emperor Kodo is waiting for her at the amphitheater tomorrow morning for a performance that she herself will have to present, usually hours.

Carol: "He looks like another person with letters, even if he shows us in front of you."
I get up from the table looking at my mother, hug her and then leave the house.
I go down the stairs, stop by Caleb's father to ask him where he was.
Joelle: "Hello Mr. Brown, Caleb and here?"
Jacob Brown: "No young lady, she went to collect the harvest. She should come back in the evening."
Joelle: "Thank you Mr. Brown."
I set out towards the crops where my father works, maybe I should find Caleb there.
Walking I notice that in the city they are all off, maybe the air of the performance that comes back even after a day makes everyone so ... so terribly sad.
After ten minutes of walking I arrive at the fields, I see my father but no trace of Caleb.
Joelle: "Hey dad! Everything okay?"
Robert: "Yes darling ... why are you here?"
Joelle: "I had come to say goodbye to your daddy, you know I'm still your teddy bear."
I smile at him.
Joelle: "Ah dad, did you see Caleb?"
Robert: "Yes Joelle, he was on duty then he had to leave, I don't know why."
Joelle "Thanks dad!"
I look at him admired, he always finds the strength to go on.
I take some water from the fountain and bring it to him.
Joelle: "Daddy, I'm going home, it's getting late. Here, drink, you'll have a good drink."
Robert: "You were always sweet darling!"
I look at him smiling, then back away and go home.
I pass by Caleb's father's shop, but being late I find it all closed.
So I go up the stairs to open the door.
I greet my mother and go straight to the room, the thought that tomorrow I will have to present someone's death afflicts me.  For this I close my eyes and rest, I must be strong for tomorrow.
The sunlight beats in my eyes, the first thought that comes to mind and the execution.
I get up and dress elegantly, Kodo wants maximum elegance ... even for a death.
I go down to the kitchen and greet my parents very quickly.
I open the front door and go down the stairs, I would like to stop and ask for Caleb, but I'm late.
I arrive at the great doors of the amphitheater, and then I go to the lower floors where Kenta is waiting for me.
Kenta: "Ah you finally arrived, I thought you didn't show up."
Joelle: "I thought you know."
Kenta: "we have to go Joelle."
I nod, climb the stairs and the thing repeats itself.  Emperor Kodo enters the great Arena, sits on the throne and now it's my turn.
Joelle: "Popular people, today we are here in front of our emperor. Today we are here to execute those who oppose the emperor.
Bring the boy here who will meet his destiny. "
Back to my position, the big doors open and the boy enters the Arena.
In the distance I see a familiar shape, then I remain stunned.
That boy is Caleb, my heart stops and my legs tremble.
