Do you remember
That day?
But did you truly
Like me as I am
My quirks and insecurities?
Would you rather
I was black and white
No grey areas
Like black ink on white paper
No red lines or doodles
On the margin
Plain, neat and concise
Straight to the point,
Boring.
Why didn't you want the rainbow
Was it too much
All that color?
Are you happy now
That it's over
I hope you are
Because I'm still me
Slightly faded
But why would I change for you?
I'm happy as I am
I'd be happier with you
But what's the point
if I'm gonna be
a washed out version
Less than I am
Less than I can be.
