Nominations, voting, or judging?
Due to the frequently asked questions in the PMs, it is very important that we understand how this award runs.
K•F•A is biannual. That is, it runs twice a year:
1) January - May |People's Choice|
2) July - November |Review Choice|
PEOPLE'S CHOICE:
During this session, books are nominated, voted for, and the book with the highest number of votes in each genre wins.
REVIEW CHOICE (Currently running):
During this session, books are entered into the contest by their authors, reviewed by guided judges and the most deserving book in each genre wins.
TIMELINE
1) PEOPLE'S CHOICE:
•Nominations:~ January 1st - February 28th
•Voting:~ March 1st - April 30th
•Results:~ May 15th
2) REVIEW CHOICE:
•Open for book entry:~ July 1st - August 31st
•First Judging round:~ September 1st - September 30th
•Final judging and assessment:~ October 1st - October 15th
•Review dispersal:~ October 16th - October 31st
•Results:~ November 15th
