Ok so before I begin this is my first ACTUAL gay fic all of my other ones have been more gender-neutral but you are going to be a she in this if you don't like it then skip over this story also you cant be a Ravenclaw I'm sorry.  Also, I said Herbology for this one even though it involves a creature so don't question me.

Your POV

I was walking down to Herbology to have class with the Ravenclaws.  This will be interesting.  Oh who am I? Well, I'm glad you asked. My name is (y/n) (y/l/n) and I'm in (y/h) but please don't be formal call me (n/n).  Now you're probably wondering why I'm in such a rush to get down to my class that I really don't like.

Well you see, I have taken a liking to a certain girl in Ravenclaw.  That certain girl being none other than Luna Lovegood...one of my best friends.  We've known each other since 1st year when she sat with me on the train.  She was one of the first people I came out to knowing that she would accept me.  Also may I add that she also came out to me that very same day so it made me fall for her even more. 

Anyways, now that you know my backstory let's get back to the fic shall we.

I arrived at Herbology a little early so not many people were in there just yet.  This gave me a chance to study a little before the lesson began.  Luna came in a few minutes after me and sat down.

"Hello (n/n). Lovely day isn't it," she said dreamily. 'Oh my god, she's so cute. Ok pull it together,' I thought.

"H-Hey Lun (it's like loon).  Yeah, it is lovely today," I said trying to keep my blushing face under control

Before Luna could continue the conversation class had begun.  "For today's lesson, you will be working in partners to care for a bowtruckle.  Now go and find a partner and then I will give you a bowtruckle," Professor Sprout said.

I was about to turn to Luna and ask if she wanted to be my partner but before I turned to her, she grabbed my hand interlacing out fingers together.  I stared at her my cheeks tinted pink.  She gave me one of her innocent smiles.  'God that smile' I thought.

"W-What did you just say (n/n)?" Luna asked.

"Oh god did I say that out loud.  I'm so sorry Luna you weren't supposed to hear that," I said my face becoming redder than a tomato.  I unlinked our hands facing away from her.

"Ok girls! Are you two partners?" Professor Sprout asked as she came over to us.  I was about to answer but Luna beat me to it.

"Yes Professor, we are," Luna said cheerfully.

Sprout gave us out bowtruckle to take care of.  "Now instead of taking care of it for a week you will be taking care of it till I see you next," she stated to the class.

"But wait...that's like a whole month from now Professor," Roger Davies said rather shocked and annoyed.

"Yes you are quite correct Mr. Davies you will be working on gaining your bowtruckles trust along with everything else. But you must start by earning its trust so it can eat and feel comfortable around you and your partner.  Now your project has begun class dismissed," Professor Sprout said shooing us out of her class.

Lunas POV

After Professor Sprout dismissed us from her class and (y/n) and I had our bowtruckle it was time for lunch. 

(Y/n) held the bowtruckle so carefully in her hands, it was like she was scared she was going to break it.  We walked down to lunch and sat down at my table.  No one really judged cause this was a normal thing for us.

"So, do you want to take care of him first Luna or do you want me," (y/n) asked setting the creature on the table gently. 'Gosh she's so perfect,' I thought. 

"Hm well what class do you have next, I've got COMC with Hagrid," I said.

"Huh well, what a coincidence so do I," (Y/N) said.

One Month Later...

Your POV

The project Sprout had assigned us was coming to a close.  Luna and I had gotten closer than ever before if that's even possible.  We named our bowtruckle William Lovegood III I picked the first name and we went with Luna's last (well no shit sherlock).

I really wanted to tell Luna how I felt about her but I just couldn't do it.  I would rant to William at night sometimes before going to sleep.  Me being well me didn't think that he would understand what I was saying so I would just let it be.  The next morning I went down to breakfast with William to go and find Luna, we sat down and ate, talked about random things like normal.  But what we didn't expect was William to take our fingers and put them together as if we were holding hands.  I went to go pull my hand back out of pure embarrassment but Luna intertwined our fingers together even more so we were holding hands.

I then looked at the time, "We should get to Herbology Luna we're gonna be late," I said trying to hide my blushing face once more.

As we made our way to Herbology the bowtruckle wouldn't stop trying to get us to hold hands.  So, we eventually did.  We got a lot of stares from teachers and other students and then we heard the Weasley twins run down the hall yelling "OUR SHIP HAS SAILED" really loudly.

'It was now or never' I thought.  So I took Lunas other hand and made sure she was looking at me.

"Luna...there's something I want to tell you," I started really nervously.

"Oh.  What's wrong (Y/n)," Luna asked.

"Well, I like you a lot...I've liked you since 2nd year and loved you since 3rd," I said.

Luna then began to giggle her cheeks tinted a very bright pink.  "Oh goodness (y/n), I like you to...no scratch that I love you too," she said.

The only thing I could think of was to pick her up and spin her around.  She was laughing non-stop.  I then placed her down and looked into her silvery grey eyes. 

Luna then began to lean in slowly, the hall we were in went drop dead quite.  I began to lean in too.  We were about and inch apart from each others lips until we heard yelling.

"Oh just hurry up and kiss already, the entire school ships you two," one twin yelled probably Fred.

"Yeah why do you think the hall went...oh wait we're ruining the moment Freddie," definitely George said.

I laughed and pushed my lips onto Lunas.  The entire hallways cheered.

After a small bit we pulled away my head resting on hers.  I was a giggling mess as was Luna.

"Goodness," was all Luna could say.

"Goodness indeed Luna," I said as I pulled her in for another kiss.

And that's the end of this one. Jeez this took forever cause I kept forgetting about it on accident.  I have my reasons but will not state them.  I havent started the Ron Weasley part 2 yet but I'm getting to that, I have a few more ideas to get through first then I'll write that one.  Hope y'all have enjoyed so far and until next time.
