The Yule Ball was coming up and I was hoping that my boyfriend Draco Malfoy would ask me. The thing was, we were getting closer and closer to the night of the ball and he still hadn't asked me. My friends had dragged me to Hogsmeade to get dresses. "But why do I have to go, I don't even have a date yet" I complained to my friends Ashley, Katie, and Luna (sorry if any of these are your names). "Because you have to (Y/N)" Ashley stated. "Yeah and who knows a special boy could ask you" Luna said dreamily. "Ugh fine let's go" I compiled.
After trying on dresses for hours I finally found one that made all of their mouths drop.

We left the store only to run into a small group of Gryffindors Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnigan, and Neville Longbottom. At the sight of them, Luna and Katie blushed and dragged me into a different store.
I found a small snake ring with green gems for eyes. Knowing Draco liked snakes and rings I decided to get it for him since our one year anniversary was coming up.
A few days later after lunch with the girls I decided to go to the library due to the fact that I had a Charms test soon. What I didnt expect to see was Draco Malfoy snogging Pugface Parkinson's face off. "D-Draco?" I gasped dropping my stuff. He pulled away with a smug look on his face.
"What, did you honestly think that I liked you (Y/N)?" Draco spat. I grabbed my things backing up slowly for him to only walk closer. My (Y/E/C) eyes brimmed with tears. "You're nothing but a half breed who hangs out with blood traitors and mudbloods" he screamed at me. I grabbed the box that was in my pocket and shoved it into his hands. I then ran, as fast as I could not caring who saw me.
But what I didnt know was that I caught the attention of three boys who I knew very well.
........Dean's POV.......... I watched as I saw (Y/N) run past us with tears streaming down her face. "What was that all about" Seamus asked. "That was (Y/N) crying, and she never crys" Neville pointed out. "I'm gonna go find her, and see what's wrong" I told the boys. "And maybe ask her to the ball?" Seamus said causing me to blush. "Y-Yeah, that to"

I got back to the entrance of (Y/H) common room, I was about to go in when I heard someone calling my name. "(Y/N)....(Y/N)! Wait!!" It was Dean. I quickly casted a charm the hid the fact that I was crying, "Hey Dean, what's up"
"(Y/N) are you alright, Seamus, Neville, and I saw you running down the hall in tears. Was it something Malfoy did, I swear to Godric-.." he started but I cut him off. "Dean relax, I wasn't crying. Now if you'll excuse me I have Charms soon.."
"Wait there was something I wanted to ask you.." but I didnt hear him I was already in the common room and the door was shut.
..............Time Skip Cause I'm Lazy......
As I was walking to dinner a pair of hands grabbed me and pulled me into a broom closet.
"H-Hello" I asked scared
"(Y/N) relax it's me Dean" I signed in relief. Thank godric that it was just Dean and not some other student. But the fact of us in this broom closet together made me blush. He is my best friend yes but I've also liked him as well.
"S-So, there was something that I wanted to ask you...and you can say no if you want to no pressure" Dean began
"Mmmm ok then, what's up" I said
W-Well (Y/N) I was wondering if youwouldbemydatetotheyuleball" he spoke quickly. "Sorry I didn't catch that" I said.
"Um will you be my date to the Yule Ball" he asked slower.
I almost passed out but I nodded quickly "Yes Dean I would love to". He whooped with joy disturbing some of the kids in the corridor. Who knows maybe seeing Draco cheat on me wasnt such a bad thing.
