I saw a man who looked like my dad's friend I use to see him when he introduced us to him he was basically my dad's right-hand man

But I haven't seen him in so long so maybe I was seeing things because I miss home

But either way, I was walking back home from school Jacob had football practice and the crew went to Rubys house but I have a lot of homework so need to work on that

"Hey babe" I saw Oscar in front of me

"hey," I said as I kissed him

"You have homework?" he said as he walked into my house

My grandma was cooking in the kitchen she knew about Oscar and she was happy about it surprisingly.

"hola abuela" I hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek

"Hola Mija hola Oscar " she said as she hugged Oscar too

"Hola," he said as he smiled down at her

We went into my room and I sat on my bed and took my homework out

"hey when you finish we should go see this movie with your brother," he said as he laid in my bed

"what movie? Jacob wouldn't want to be the third wheel" I said laughing and looking for a pencil in my bookbag I swear how can you lose so many pencils in one week?

I smiled as I found one

"no not Jacob juni," he said

"oh yeah, that makes sense what movie?" I said starting on my physics homework

"Toy story 4," he said smiling

"yo lowkey I wanted to see it too," I said giggling and looking at him

" let's go then," he said standing up

"i have homework babe," I said as I pointed all around me

"its Friday amor," he said as he looked at his phone

"Right fine let me get juni," I said standing up and got juni

"ok let me just get my wallet from the house" he said

We drove off to the theater that's not in freeridge
Because those be getting shoot up sometimes

"Hey Jackie " I heard juni say from the back

"yeah?" I asked looking back at him

"is Oscar-like Chris?" he asked

How can he remember that?

Chris was my ex-boyfriend he was in my dad's gang but he ran away just like me I haven't heard of him since we broke up 6 months ago

"um kinda Oscar is my boyfriend now like Chris was but there not the same ok?" I said as I looked at Juni and Oscar

"whos Chris?" Oscar asked

"Ex," I said looking at him

"ok," he said at he nodded his head

"why y'all break up," he asked I don't like talking about it he was first love basically and it hurt he just left me a note and it's fine I get it he was like Cesar he didn't want to be in a gang but he was being forced

" I don't like talking about it," I said looking outside the window as I saw kids play outside somethings they didn't do in freeridge because of the gun violence

"ight but why? was the sex was not good enough?" he said laughing

"yo, what the hell oscar did you forget you have a two-year-old in the back seat of your car?" I said as I slapped his shoulder

I looked back and he starting to fall asleep hopefully he would wake up so he can see the movie I thought

"Sorry," he said as he smiled

I don't know what's wrong with him he was fine when we were in my room

"yo but for real answer my question," he said looking at me

"the sex was fine Oscar ok he didn't leave because of that or I didn't leave him because of that ok?" I said annoyed

He didn't say anything

We got to the movie theater and I went to the bathroom I told Oscar to hold juni

"Hey Jacklyn" I heard someone say behind me

It was that man the man I think was my dad's friend

"Who are you? How do you know my name ?" I said as I slowly made my way to the door

"Ricardo you don't remember me Princesa?" he said

It was him I knew I was right

"what are you doing here?" I said I was getting a bad vibe

"We need you and your brother to be leaders," he said as he took something out of his pocket

" it's the only way," he said as he stepped closer to me

I was about to run out but he took a cloth into my mouth and I blacked out

I woke up in like a room a dark room

"jackie? Jackie ?" I heard someone say

I think it was my brother?

"Jacob?" I said squinting my eyes so I could see better

He was sitting on the other side of the room tied up in a chair and I looked down and it was the same with me

"yeah it's me they took me before I went into football practice they want us to be leaders Jackie," he said I saw tears in his eyes he was scared

I started crying too I didn't want this WE didn't want this our dad didn't want this
