the return of a ghost.

Standing in front of the Lockwood Mansion, Agnes Lockwood took in a deep breath. For she has missed her home and was excited to start over again. She wouldn't be the same sad, distant little girl that her friends once knew.

Hopefully.

It's been a year since she was gone from the little town of Mystic Falls. Her mother said it was supposed to help her get better, to control her anger and put it into something positive. So, off to a weird boarding camp she went.

It helped at first, but then it turned into wanting to attack anyone who even dared give her a nasty look or even said something that was mildly insulting. She knew that they wouldn't let her go without improvement, so she faked it until she made it.

That included bottling her emotions and even sometimes shutting herself out.

Thing is, after she heard about her father dying, she's been...dormant. Not sad, my angry, not full of hatred, or even happy. It's like there was a switch and she just turned off her emotions. She's been waiting to break ever since, but it's been more than a few months and she's still waiting.

Shaking her head and taking her first steps back into her house, she felt different. Like the house had a different aura, but Agnes couldn't think much of it.

"Hello? Anybody home?" Agnes yelled out, hoping nobody would answer. It would give her more time to take a small tour of the place, refresh her memory.

"Oh my god, Aggy? Is that you?" Tyler's voice echoed as his figure appeared at the top of the stairs.

He was taller, more older looking. She felt like it's been years and years as he ran down the stairs and engulfed her into a bear hug. She gasped a bit, but hid it with a smile. He lifted her a little before letting go.

"You're really here! I thought i'll never see you again!" Tyler laughed and smiled, looking at his little sister as if for the first time.

"Well, unless i'm a ghost, here I am!" Agnes badly joked and smiled back at her brother, feeling uneasy from this unknown feeling.

Funny. She is almost always feeling uneasy yet this time feels different.

"Where's mom?" She asked after they took some time to calm down and settle.

"At a meeting, but i'm meeting up with some old friends that I know would be very happy to see you. Wanna come?" Tyler suggested, bringing up a smirk on that little dirty face. She now noticed that he held a duffle bag and questioned him about it.

"All part of the plan, little sis. Come on!" He just laughed and ran out of the door.

Agnes put down her  bags and followed him back outside.

Being back with Tyler felt good. And why wouldn't it, he was her big brother who is amazing in every way possible to her. She couldn't ask for anything better.

But hugging him brought bad vibes, like something bad was going to happen. Actually, stepping back into this town for Agnes brought the bad vibes. From what exactly, that's where she gets confused.

"So, what are we doing today?" She asked her older brother, trying to make conversation along the way.

"We, baby sister, are attending senior prank night," Tyler grinned with fake cheer, "And you're going to help us get our pranks together."

"But i'm not a senior, i'm a junior?" Agnes rose an eyebrow, questioning whether this was really her turf to invade.

"Come on, it's your first day back. I'm sure everyone won't mind you spending some time with us," He assures the girl with a light smile, but that didn't exactly settle with her just yet.

"Fine. But if we get in trouble, I'll kill you."
