Really?!

"Lets Get Married And Elope!"

So I promised myself not to love anyone or have a crush on anyone because I've only had crushes, and my recent crush is a real yank in the tooth (sorry I've been watching corner gas). I really like this one guy, and I even consider him "The One." The problem is that the world is keeping us apart, I mean, he's 18 and I'm 14, which is why I don't want to think that way. The only people I would allow myself to love are my family and friends. What do you think about that?

Honey, you and I have much more in common than I thought! We're both crazy! The only difference is that were lunatics for completely different reasons! I'm crazy in the way that everything I do my mind is coming up with thousands of other ways that I could do the same thing I a much more fun and crazy way. You, my friendly, feathered, fabulous, flamboyant, fleetest, friend..... Wait, where was I going with this? (I don't even know what the latter part of that sentence means). Oh, Yeah! You are crazy in the aspect that you promise yourself not to love anyone right now, which I totally understand- we'll get to that- but NO CRUSHES?! Now Hun, I don't judge, I just simply make observations and opinions about you that I will remember forever. Right now, I'm thinking,

"Really?!"

because if you really want it to be, a crush can be harmless. The only time that a crush is more than "just a crush" is when your feelings are REAL feelings- not just

"I like his hair/ eyes/ other body parts"

Or

"His personality matches mine AND were in the same grade! Let's get married and elope!"

Now for that 18 year-old-guy issue, I can totally relate. I always crush on guys who are older than me, but at such a young age- I can't even begin to imagine how you can consider him "The One" unless you've been dating him for the past year and you still love him. In all honesty, I think you should have crushes and just let the universe take it's toll. Maybe it's trying to tell you something.
