I pulled a blue folder off the shelf as I stared down at the list scrawled out on the paper in my hands. Notebook, check, Pens, check, Folder, check. I can't believe Mum made me buy all this myself. I had no issue with giving her the money, but making me wonder round the shopping centre buying school supplies? Thanks Mum.
School started today for every school except mine, so at least this place was pretty much empty. This years going to be a lot harder than all my previous ones, due to the fact that I'm starting sixth form. But this Croften Messaging campaign that all the schools in the county are joining might help. We got a letter last week about it. Due to how behind schools are on technology, all the schools in Croften are making their students download a messaging app in an attempt to catch up. They then give us one username on the app, which belongs to a student from another school. They're trying to get us to branch out and make friends, but most people will probably end up just fucking who they end up with. I'm not bothered about the sex, but I certainly won't mind getting to know a girl who can give me the time of day.
"Woodrow!" A familiar voice called out from behind me. I turned round, running a hand through my dark brown hair.
"Hey Liam, what's up?" I greeted my friend from school casually.
"Eh, just trying to make the most of the last day before school. Why you wondering around a stationary shop?" He laughed, trying to catch a glimpse at my list.
"School stuff. Mum made me get it myself." I sighed. Liam laughed at how lame my reasons for being here were.
"Okai well have fun Woodrow. I'll see you tomorrow." He called as we wondered off. I bid goodbye before wondering over to the till.
