Ummi sat on her mother's bed all decked up and ready to travel to kano for eid ,she was watching bob the builder in the television when Bilkis touched her and asked her to go and pray as they needed to go after praying she nodded and went to pray ,after they all prayed ummi ,her siblings and Asabe all sat inside the sienna waiting for bilkis to come ,after some minutes Bilkis arrived and met salim cracking jokes while the rest were laughing,bilkis came in and ask the driver to start,ummi looked at bilkis and saw bilkis looking angry,she avoided looking at her and turned to her brothers who were busy laughing at some silly things...after few minutes Khalid cracked a very silly joke and they all couldn't resist laughing just then bilks asked all of them to shut up,ummi couldn't resist the laughter and she bend her head and placed it on the back of the front sit laughing bilks saw her and moved habeeb which was close to her to the side and gave ummi a very sound slap . After the slap she added "wawiyar banza wawiyar Hopi" let me ask you to stop something and you continue again, ummis eyes began to water when her upward curve turned to a downward curve and the rest of the journey was spent in silence.

It was 9:00 pm Ummi and all were in the balcony chitchatting, ummis mum was talking to her aunties about eid preparations when Islam one of ummis cousins tapped her and said ummi

Umm I have 3 clothes ummi answered
Islam stopped and continued I also have 3 clothes but am wearing the best of all on eid she said showing all her teeth

Ummi went towards her mum and touched her while calling her name

Kash came from Mami's mouth when ummi went to the room crying later on ummi and her cousins went down chitchatting when salim and the boys were seeing closing the gate

Saleem divided the chingum into pieces but before ummi could reach it all the cousins have finished it ,just then ummi shouted noo Ina nawa
As soon as she shouted the house dog barked loudly and started following them they all ran shouting, ummi is the smallest amongst them
And they all could run more faster than her
Sony the dog caught her slippers while running,ummi removed the slippers and ran for her life ,they all didn't stop till they climbed the stairs and reached the big hallway where the mothers were present

The next day was going really well with full eid preparations on as eid was going to be the next day,ummi and her cousins made their hair and finished their henna.just then their grand mum called them ku je kios din baba Ali ku siyo mana Lemo ( go to baba Ali's kios and buy drink for us ) they all nodded just then bilkis turned and said ummi you know the kios is at the opposite side of the gate right? Ummi nodded and she added so don't cross the road wait for them to

Ummi went with 2 of her cousins ya mama and ya nafisah,as soon as they reached the kiosk ummi stopped as she remembered what her mum told her

No am better here just go I will wait for you guys here .ya mama nodded when ya nafisah said come she won't even know you crossed the road but ummi still refused and the 2 girls had no
Choice but to go without her When ummi was standing near the gate she saw sunny the dog heading towards her and she was scared so she crossed the road till she found out sunny was taken back into the house before she decided to cross back as she was afraid her mother will
Come and find her ,her cousins Told her to stop and wait for them but she paid no heed because she was afraid.
As she stepped on the road ya mama called her saying ummi wait for us aunty bilkis won't know ,she turned to answer her when she felt something hit her,she fell down and turned just to find out she was hit by a car ,she started Crying just then the man in the car came out and enquired about her well being ,her uncle sanusi was passing Through there when he saw her he picked her up in his arms as she was crying he checked her whole body and replied to the man Alhamdullilah everything is ok you can go the man nodded and apologized then he went back to his car while uncle sanusii made his way to his mothers room with crying ummi in his hands,as soon as he stepped in all aunties and bilkis came running, and bilkis asked what happened, she was hit by a car when trying to cross the road ,all muttered inalilahi wa Ina ilaihi rajiun and at the same time Alhamdullilah just then ummi felt a hot slap on her face ,all aunties shouted bilkis! When ummi felt her Tears gushing down even faster, she was in pain,she was guilty and at the same time she was embarrassed .....
