I stared at my roof in the darkness at the glow in the dark stars I've had since I was 8, wondering why I was never good enough for anyone. There haven't been many people who see the real me, I have a scary and intimidating demeanor, yet recently I met someone who did. 'Cyrus'... the name stayed in my head and wouldn't leave even though I've only known him a few weeks.
"There is nothing wrong with you", I remembered him saying this. He wouldn't have said it if he knew how different I really was, how my feelings are different from other people's. Multiple thoughts filled my mind. I created different situations in my head for if he knew what I was hiding, how he'd react. He can't know, he will never know.
