It was only seven in the morning when Rhiannon decided to wake up her parents. Hermione was used to it by now, though Harry wasn't, and doubt he ever would be.

The three of them were currently gathered in the kitchen, Hermione was reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, while Harry was at the stove with Rhiannon where they were making pancakes.

"Flip it!" Rhi screamed "FLIP IT!"

"Its not ready yet." Harry tried to explain, but it was no use

Rhi stomped her foot. "This is taking too long." she said

"Rhi, its been thirty seconds." Harry said "You need to be patient."

Hermione looked up from her book, just in time to see her daughter jump from the counter, where she had been sitting so that she could help her father make the pancakes.

"I don't have the time to be patient." Rhiannon said "I have a big day today."

With that she stormed off up the stairs, leaving Harry in awe, and Hermione giggling.

"Merlin, she's incredibly impatient." he said, taking his focus right back to the pancakes Rhi had left him to finish making by himself

Hermione laughed some more and returned to her book. "Yeah," she said "I wonder where she gets that from."

Harry rolled his eyes and smiled. "I didn't have the time to be patient." he said "I was quite busy being harassed by an evil wizard, if you remember?"

"You weren't the only one in danger." Hermione pretended to be offended "Snape taught a ton of students, you know."

Harry couldn't help but laugh, until a sharp snap scared him right out of it.

Ron and Ginny had appeared right at the entry way of the kitchen.

"Aww, what a cute family." Ron said taking a seat across from Hermione, Ginny went to see what Harry was cooking, and was not impressed by what she saw.

"What the hell is that?!" she criticized

Harry shot her a look, clearly not pleased by her comment. "A pancake." he snapped

Ginny pretended to be sick. "Have you ever heard of golden brown?" she asked "That thing looks like a hunk of coal, and I'll be damned if I let you feed that to my niece."

Harry rolled his eyes. "It's better than you could have done, Gin." he said and then looked towards Hermione. "Why did Rhi say that today was a big day?"

Ron tried to bite back a laugh, but failed, which in turn caused Ginny to laugh as well.

"Well..." said Hermione, "Rhiannon has a little crush..."

"What?" Harry looked appalled "She's only...." he trailed off counting back the years "Six! She's not allowed to have a crush!"

"Aww, you've memorized the date of that special night, have you?" she teased

Ron smiled. "If you think that's the bad part, mate, wait until you've heard the rest."

"There's more?"

Hermione nodded. "It really isn't a big deal..." she said in hopes to reason with him

"What isn't?" Harry said

"Ron and I have over come the silly school rivalry..."

"Only about sixty percent." Ron mused "Still can't stand that bloody blonde ferret."

Harry took a step back. "Malfoy?" he said "That doesn't make any sense, what does he have to do with any of this?"

Ron and Hermione looked at each other and couldn't help but smile. Ginny was too busy putting the pancakes in the trash to even notice what was going on.

"Well," said Hermione "Malfoy has a very nice son..."

"No." said Harry

"Just hear me out, Harry!" Hermione urged "Malfoy isn't the same from school. Yes, he's still quite intolerable, but so is Ron and I still manage to get along with him just fine! So I'm sure you can manage the same with Malfoy."

Harry scoffed. "Of course I can manage it," he said "But the problem isn't with me, its with Malfoy. He won't be able to handle it."

Ginny dropped the now empty pan into the sink where it fell with a loud crash.

"Do us all a favor and never cook pancakes again."

Hermione looked appreciative, where as Harry just looked annoyed.

"So what about today is so important then?" Harry asked

Ginny laughed. "Oh, maybe we shouldn't tell you." she teased "Spare you of a heart attack, you know?"

Hermione took a deep breath and looked over at Harry. "Well, Scorpius has asked Rhiannon if she would go out with him."
