"What's exactly going to be open, at 1am Emma?" Ethan huffed, climbing into the car.
"Actually, there's a roller skating rink down the road" She informed him, fastening her seatbelt and smirking over at him.
"You can roller skate?" He questioned, with a small laugh.
"Why is that so hard to believe, huh?" She rolled her eyes, raising her eyebrows.
"Em, I love you and all, but baby, all you do is fall over. You're the clumsiest person on this planet" he chuckled, stroking her thigh softly.
"When we lost our friendship" she said, sadly, "I was really lonely I guess, I never really had anything to do, or anyone to hang out with. So, I tried learning new things, and that was skating"
Ethan nodded back, looking down, and focused on his lap. Emma reached out her hand, placing it on his jaw comfortably, "baby, it's over now, we've been over this"
"But I was the reason for you to feel like that Emma, I did that to you" he lifted his head up, connecting his eyes to hers.
"You changed, Ethan, people do. I needed to get over it, and that's what I did. We're all good now, I'm happy with you" she smiled, and he nodded, lightly grinning too.
"You're beautiful" he whispered, placing his hand on hers, resting on his jaw.
Emma blushed in response, and Ethan leaned over, leaving a sloppy kiss on her nose. She giggled at him, and removed her hand from his face, pointing at the steering wheel. He took the hint, and looked away from her, turning on the car, and driving out of the car park.
"Okay, this one, to your right Ethan" Emma directed, pointing over at it, stressfully.
"I know how to fucking drive Emma" he snapped, pulling up at the kerb.
"Don't be mean" she mumbled, opening the car door and walking out.
Ethan was quick to jump out of his side, and follow her. He took her small wrist in his hand, and pulled her back gently. She stumbled to face him, looking down at the floor.
"I'm sorry baby, don't be mad, I didn't mean it" he apologised, watching as she raised her head to look at him.
"S'okay" she smiled, softly, "Let's go in"
They entered hand in hand, and walked over to the front desk, where they met the receptionist.
"Hi, can we have two tickets please?" Emma asked, politely. The man nodded, asking for their money, which Ethan payed, again. The pair also clarified their shoe sizes, and after being handed two pairs of roller skates, went to sit down and put them on.
"Ethan, they stink" Emma complained, pointing at his feet, while he was taking his shoes off.
"They do not" he replied sternly, which made Emma laugh as she tied her laces.
A couple minutes later, they had finally both got their roller skates on, and made their way over to the rink.
"Shit, shit, shit" said Ethan, as he struggled to move forward, almost falling over. Emma grabbed his arm and giggled, taking his hand into hers.
"Relax, follow me" she guided, calmly,
They skated around, Ethan almost falling multiple times, and Emma laughing each time. He was practically clawing into her skin, from holding on so hard, like he was fearing for his life.
"Ethan, you gotta let go" Emma chuckled, looking up at his scared face.
"Em-" he tried to reply, however Emma cut him off, "Nope, no excuses, I'm going to teach you, and you're going to listen, got it?"
Ethan rolled his eyes in reply, and nodded along to her, watching as she swiftly skated ahead in a straight line.
"Just like that" Emma shouted over the music.
"Just like that" he told himself, "okay Ethan, you got this!"
He began to make his way over to her, struggling slightly, and heading towards the edge of the rink.
"No ethan!" Emma shouted, raising her eyebrows at him and shaking her head, "on your own"
He pushed himself away from the side, gliding his feet forwards and backwards, steadily. Emma held her arms out, as he stumbled into her small frame. She giggled, clapping at him, and kissing his cheek.
"Yay! I'm so proud of you E" Emma smiled, and he grinned, proudly.
"Now it's time for a lap" Ethan's face dropped, as he shook his head. However, Emma dragged him along with her, and left him in the middle of the rink.
Emma skated off, leaving him stranded in the middle. Ethan moved his feet along, slowly getting there, as he watched Emma race ahead. She turned around to watch him, and gave him a big thumbs up and a smile.
"You got this Ethan, come on!" She cheered, turning back around, and going over to the edge.
He finally finished, going over to her as she congratulated him. Ethan convinced Emma to take a break from teaching him, and to go get a snack, and they headed over to the vending machine in the back.
"Want anything baby?" He asked, ordering himself a packet of crisps.
"I'll get it" she grinned, waiting until he moved.
Ethan pouted, and let her, obviously still wanting to pay for her. It was just the way he was brought up, to be like that. Even if he was a fuckboy, he still treated them right if it was anything more than, a quick fuck.
"Time to go back in?" Emma asked, as Ethan rumpled his empty packet and put it into the bin. Ethan shook his head, roughly, with wide eyes, and she giggled again at his reaction.
"But you know how to now" she defended, and he sighed, "made me tired"
"We still have a lot of things to do today"
"I know but I'm tired" he smiled, putting his arms out for her to walk into. He buried his head in her neck, and kissed it lightly.
"Cmon, time to go then" she grinned, stroking his hair softly, and pulling on his hand.
