"Thank you so much! I love you all more than you could possibly know" I beam to the crowd as they continue to scream my name. "Goodnight, everybody!"
Taking one final bow, I make my way off the stage as my band continues to play so there's still music filling the arena.
"Another fantastic show, Elle" my manager Lisa says while handing me a water bottle.
"Thanks, Lisa," I say in between gulps.
"Alright, take a few minutes to freshen up. We have some VIP fans waiting for you for the meet and greet."
I make my way back to my dressing room so I can wipe the layer of sweat from my face and body off before meeting my fans. My dressing room is filled with flowers, pictures, and warm wishes from my fans and my team. Every time I pass one of these pictures or letters from fans, my heart sores a little more. My fans mean the world to me.
I stop for a second as my eyes catch the familiar picture that I make sure is up in every one of my dressing rooms.
It's a picture from the night I was discovered; the night that my life changed forever.
Three years ago.
"I don't know if I can do this."
"Yes, you can," my best friend Jade assures me. "I know you can."
"What if I mess up? What if I choke? What if I forget the words?" I nervously ramble while fidgeting with the straps of my guitar.
"You won't," she assures me once again.
Before I can say anything else, I hear the announcer calling my name saying that it was my turn to make my way onto the stage.
With one final deep breath, I make my way onto the stage, praying that I don't trip before I make it to the microphone.
Looking out at the crowd, I see everyone looking at me with different expressions. Some look at me with bored expressions while others size me over, wondering if I'll be any good.
"Hi" I breathe out, trying not to stutter from nerves. "My name is Elle Summers and I'm going to play an original song I wrote. I hope you like it."
Closing my eyes, I let the familiar feeling of the strings and frets take over while I sing the melody that constantly plays in my head.
I must have finished because I'm met with a loud applause to which I respond with a bashful smile and make my way off the stage.
Jade hugs me, telling me that she loved my performance while a man in a polished suit walks over to us.
"Elle Summers," he says with a confident smile on his face. "I have big plans for you."
