Yesterday, his voice was barely a whisper, but the closer I get to the end of my life, the louder and more menacing his voice becomes. Eventually, all I'll be able to hear is guttural screams as he slits my throat and drinks my blood for sustenance. Of course, he's not human, but he's moved way beyond monster.

I can't tell you my name yet—the details of my true identity won't come until much later. But for now, you can call me Morgan. I don't have a last name—never did—but still, I live and breathe. He hasn't taken that from me yet.

Before I go, I have one last thing to do. Do you want to hear a story?
