2. This place called Narnia

Kate's POV:

It's been 3 months since I've Edmund and Lucy. Right now we're in Lucy's room. Lucy and I sitting on the bed as Edmund was pacing. Let me tell you what happened the last 3 months.

Well after a week they finally had nicknames for me Lucy was going to call me 'Jules' (Because of my middle name) and Edmund calls me Kittykay. He knows I hate that nickname, so that's why he's using it. I've went to Eustace house more often so I could hang out with them. Eustace only talks to me during tutor sessions and isn't nice to me anymore. Oh and I have a HUGE crush on Edmund. But no one knows….

They told me about this place called Narnia. Like about a week ago. I caught them talking about it while standing outside their door. So they had to tell me. I think everything is hard to believe but they seem so serious about it that I kinda do believe them. Edmund has a habit of playing with my hair and he says that I'm a big mamma bear when it comes to hugs. He's so cute. But I think he only see's me as a friend.

"Another few months?" Edmund exclaimed as he said down next to me, "How are we going to survive?" I glared at him. He laid down pulling me with him. I rested my head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry." he said while playing with my long dark brown hair. I looked up at him and smiled, "Don't mention." He smiled at me. We were kinda staring into each-others eyes when Lucy decided to ruin the moments with the question she has been asking for 2 months, "Do I look anything like Susan?" Edmund and I sighted. I looked up and saw him looking at the painting in the room. He grabbed my waist and pulled me up with him so we were sitting on the bed.

''Lucy, have seen this ship before?'' He stood up and walked a little closer to it. ''Yes. It's very Narnian-looking, isn't it?'' I smiled. They seem happy when they talk about Narnia. Oh I wish I had been there. ''Yeah, just another reminder that we're here and not there.'' Edmund said. And my smiled faded. They don't seem happy about being here. That sometimes makes me feel out of place. Edmund saw what happened and smiled at me. I stood up. I was planning on going home, because I don't really want to listen to this any longer. When Eustace decided to walk in, ''There once were two orphans. Who wasted their time, believing in Narnian nursery rhymes.''

''Please let me hit him.'' Edmund said as I grabbed his arm and shot him a look. ''Eustace shut up.'' I said. Eustace glared at me. ''Don't you ever knock?'' Edmund said still with anger in his voice. That shocked me a little so I let go of his arm. He looked me in the eye for 2 seconds and then looked away. ''It's my house. I'll do as I please. You're just guests.'' Ugh Eustace just shut up. He sat down on the bed as Lucy, Edmund and I looked back at the painting. ''What's so fascinating about that picture anyway? It's hideous.'' I rolled my eyes and shot him a glare. He tried to smile at me but failed and looked kinda scared. ''You won't see it on the other side of the door.'' Hehe that's my Edmund. Wait what? ''Edmund, it looks like the water is actually moving.'' Lucy said. ''What rubbish!'' Oh Eustace, '' See? That's what happens when you read all those fanciful novels and fairy tales of yours.''

Edmund ignored him and said, ''There once was a boy called Eustace, who read books full of facts that were useless.'' I giggled, wait I never giggle? Edmund seemed to notice that to and shot me a smile while Lucy smirked. ''People who read fairy tales are always the sort who become a hideous burden to people like me, who read books with real information.'' Edmund turned around to face Eustace. ''Hideous burden?'' Oh my god here we go again. I looked back at Lucy who rolled her eyes and looked at the painting again. I also looked back at the painting. I zoned out at their argument. Suddenly water came out of the picture. Oh my god. ''Edmund...'' I said. More water came out. ''Edmund, the painting.'' Lucy said. More and more water came out. Lucy started to smile. ''What's going on here?'' Eustace shut up, I thought.

''Lucy do you think-?'' Edmund started but was cut of by Eustace, ''It's some kind of trick! Stop it or I'll tell mother.'' More and more water came out. I looked at the painting in shock. Eustace started to scream for his mother and more water came out. Edmund grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Yeah I kinda needed that. You know... I'm kinda freaking out. ''Oh I'll just smash the rotten thing.'' He grabbed the painting. Edmund let go of my hand and tried to stop him. We all tried to put the painting back. ''No, Eustace!'' I kinda yelled. We all started to yell things. The painting dropped on the floor and we all kinda got pulled under.

Edmund snaked an arm around my waist and pulled me up with him. Once we where up we gasped for air. Edmund didn't remove his arm from my waist, he just stared into my eyes. I broke the stare and looked around. What the hell? We're in a sea? I raised a brow. It was quit beautiful though. ''Edmund! What's happening?'' we heard Lucy. We saw a ship coming really close. ''Where are we?'' I heard Eustace yell. We all started to swim away from the ship. Edmund who still had his arms around me pulled me even closer. ''EDMUND, IT'S CASPIAN!'' Who was Caspian? Oh yeah that was the prince from there second adventure. Wait does that mean I'm in Narnia? Oh my friggin god. Edmund stopped swimming but kept his arms out me. ''We're in Narnia.'' Edmund said with a big smile on his face. I looked up at him and smiled. ''Yes you're in Narnia.'' This man said. We all swam to the boat and got on it.

Once on the ship Edmund let go of me. I missed the feeling from his arms around me already. This nice looking man handed me a towel. I smiled at him and nod him a thank you. He smiled and blushed a little. ''Caspian!'' Edmund said. I turned to face them. ''Edmund. It's great to see you.'' Oh I feel so out of place and uncomfortable. I just shifted a little in my position. ''Didn't you call for us?'' Lucy asked. Ed, Lu I'm still here you know. ''No not this time.'' The man who's name is Caspian said. ''Well, it's good to be back.'' Edmund said.

I shifted in my position again. They are so happy to be here. I guess they really didn't liked it back in England. Suddenly Caspian turned to me. ''I believe we haven't met, I'm Caspian.'' he said while extending his hand. I shook it and said, ''Katharine.'' He smiled, ''Can I call you Kat?'' Wow I got a lot of nicknames now, ''Sure.'' I shifted my gaze to Edmund who smiled warmly at me. That seriously gave me butterflies.

Suddenly we here Eustace scream. I turned around and saw a mouse? on top of him. ''Now calm down, sir.'' Holy shit the mouse can talk. Oh right they told me about that. ''GET THAT THING OFF ME!'' Eustace yelled. I stood next to Edmund who was next to Lucy. I looked up at him and he smiled again. O my god he looks so happy. It makes me kinda sad. Then Eustace threw the mouse off. ''Reepicheep!'' Lucy said happily. The mouse turned to us, ''Your Majesties... and girl.'' Again I shifted in my position. This is to awkward for me.

''Hello, Reep. What a pleasure.'' Edmund said. He looked back at me and then to the mouse, ''This is Katharine but you can call her Kate.'' The mouse who's name is apparently 'Reepicheep' or 'Reep' bowed slightly and said, ''It's a pleasure to meet you.'' I just smiled at him. This place makes me nervous. Edmund grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Caspian smirked at us. ''But first, what to do about this hysterical... interloper?''

''That giant rat thing just tried to claw my face off!'' I let go of Edmund's hand and slowly walked over to Eustace. While I was walking over I heard Caspian whisper, ''What is she doing?'' and I heard Edmund mumble, ''Just watch...''

''I was merely trying to expel the water from your lungs sir.'' Eustace stood up and gasped, ''It talked! Did you see? Did anyone just hear that? It just talked!'' I grabbed his arms and he looked up at me, ''Eustace sweetie, calm down.''

''He always talks...'' This man started. 'It's getting him to shut up.. that's the trick.'' Caspian finished. Usually I would chuckle at this but I shot them the 'not helping' look. The mouse said something I couldn't make out. I tried to grab Eustace arm again to calm him down but he slapped my hand away. He yelled, ''I don't know what kind of prank this is, but I want to wake up right now!'' I was taken back a little by his sudden outburst. He started to cry and pushed past me. Poor kid. ''I demand to know just where in the blazes am I?'' I walked after him slowly. Suddenly this giant beast walked forward and spoke, ''You're on the Dawn Treader the finest ship in the Narnia's navy.'' Holy shit. Ok. That kinda creeps me out to. But Eustace took it worse. He passed out and I cached him just before he hit the ground. The beast looked confused and everyone started to laugh. I put him down slowly and zoned out of what happened around me. I was trying to process everything.

Suddenly someone put a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Caspian, ''Come on let's get you some dry clothes.'' I nod stood up and walked with him.
