The sickening slime suffocated him, the poor boy. Trapped, clawing through the oozy substance. No escape. He tried to scream, but all he could let out were painful squeals the villain found most amusing. His thoughts drowned out by the slow and painful loss of consciousness. Through squinted eyes, however, he saw something. A shape. He felt safe.

As it turns out, Izuku Midoriya was not safe in the slightest. The shape he saw was none other than number one pro hero, "Endeavor". But, the hero did not save him. As Izuku bawled so loud his voice went dry, his eyes soaked up in tears, Endeavor had made a quick phone call, telling other pro heroes to come deal with the "annoyance", as he "didn't have the time".

Midoriya woke up, light-headed, dizzy, but still well aware of his current situation, surrounded by pro heroes, many of whom he admired, but one wasn't there. Endeavor.

"Where is... Endeavor..." Midoriya could only let out a few words to the heroes.

The heroes exchanged uncomfortable glances. Through awkward explanation, they unfolded the situation in which Endeavor had to leave the scene. Midoriya, of course, was heartbroken. His voice scratchy, his eyes red, and his muscles sore, the boy did not make a single sound as he got up from his place, collected his things, and left. Never before had he looked so solemn and dejected.

Midoriya was off for the entire rest of the summer. He talked to no one - as if he had any friends anyway, and he was especially cold to his mother. His ill-starred mother had brushed it off as trauma, but there was something more beneath his cold exterior. Midoriya detested Endeavor. He hated all pro heroes, in fact. He was the very few who knew they were undeserving of their title. He sought revenge.

In his shadowy room, the bright screen of Midoriya's computer shone in his terrible looking face. The boy hadn't received a good night's sleep for ages. He had to put that off, searching for answers took up most of his time. He was scrolling through the dark web, a place Midoriya would never even consider himself being a few months back. His finger repetitively scrolling on the mouse, until it stopped. Something caught his eye. An article, concerning a group. A group that had the same goals and ideals as Izuku. The main goal? To kill Endeavor.

They were looking for recruits, apparently. It seemed sketchy, but he had to try. Kamino Ward was far from the comfort of his home, but the deprived boy felt a strange longing to visit this "League". He stared at the screen for a very long time.

I'm not a villain. He told himself. I don't belong there.

For whatever reason, though, he was pulled towards this group. So, in the middle of the night, he ran away from home. It absolutely destroyed him to leave his mother without a trace, but it was for a good cause, he hoped. He knew he would be back, after the duty was done. The boy hopped on an empty train in his old junior high school uniform, and set off to Kamino Ward, where his fate would soon be decided.

The bar was brick, run down, and not something any average person would want to explore. With that in mind, Midoriya pounded on the door without hesitation.

The door opened with a slow creak. A man was on the other side. His shirt hugged his figure, the inky material a strong contrast against his deathly pale skin. His uneven blueish hair covered his crazy eyes, and his chapped lips curved into a smile. "Who might you be?"

"My name is Izuku Midoriya." He held out his hand. The man did not take it.

"What brings you here?"

"I'd like to join the League of Villains."

The strange man eyed him. "Come in."

The bar reeked of the smell of beer. It seemed as though the bar had not been cleaned in ages. Midoriya tried to hold in a sneeze the moment he stepped foot. The bar wasn't very decorated, only a poster of Endeavor and a computer. There was only one other person - or thing, in the bar other than him and the man. The figure's entire body made of mist consumed by shadows, with yellow slits of eyes that saw through Midoriya's soul. Midoriya swallowed.

Midoriya's heartbeat started to increase. He started to regret his decision, to befriend a group of villains? What was he thinking? Midoriya's palms started to sweat. His hands began to shake. He stood his ground, however, staring into the eyes of the villain.

"Why do you want to become a part of the League of Villains?" The man asked him, his bloodshot eyes glaring at Midoriya.

Before Midoriya could answer, the mysterious mist man stepped in. "Shigaraki, I highly doubt this child has anything to offer. Why would we bother-"

"I want to kill Endeavor." Midoriya's voice made the villains heads turn.

"Is that so?" Shigaraki grinned. "And with what quirk?"

Midoriya cleared his throat. He knew what was coming. They would kick him out of the bar the moment he'd admit to being Quirkless. He hesitated.

Shigaraki stared at him, clearly enlivened. "Cat got your tongue? Or do you have no Quirk to offer?"

Midoriya scrunched up his nose, clearly agitated. However, he did realize that the strange villain was right. He had no Quirk to offer. He stared at the wooden floorboard in embarrassment. He felt like a failure, to put it into uncomplicated words. He hadn't even considered the fact that no one would take in a poor Quirkless boy.

He turned around, leaving the bar. Perhaps another group could take him? Or... perhaps Midoriya should have given up his bloodthirsty revenge story months ago. Midoriya turned the handle on the doorknob, until he heard a familiar, scratchy voice behind him, and a line he did not think he would hear from such a person.

"That will have to be changed."
